So basically, you wear Hollister, AE, Abercrombie, Banana Republic, and Kenneth Cole, but have a few odd shirts and suits from nice sales over the years. |
no.i like kenneth cole hes one of my favorites so i have quite a bit from him.i do own a few of each of the other brands yes, some more then others.
as for the suits i probably own about 20 or more.5 armani's a few burberrys,a few diors,a few hugo boss etc. |

| There is no way all of that can look good, though. The differences between some of those designers in fit and cut (not to mention actual style) are HUGE. |

| yeah some of it needs altering.my dry cleaner is outstanding at taking stuff in and letting it out to what i need.i rarely need it though i make sure what i buy looks pretty solid on me before i get it.but i f i can get a suit at a steal that needs a little work im all over it. |

| Fit > price, 100x over. I'd rather have a well-tailored CK suit than somebody else's Boateng. |

my friend has a custom tailored no name italian suit.its very nice no doubt.but my rack bought christian dior suit blows it away.even he admitted it.i paid a fraction of what he paid.your body shape has a lot to do with how a suit will look on you. a custom tailored suit is a nice thing if you can afford it though for sure.but ive done well with what i have.
depending on where im at ill get at least one person ask me what im wearing when im out in a suit.it happened to me twice in atlantic city last week. |

| I didn't think it was possible but I think this thread has made my absolute distaste for fashion even greater. |

You would have got far better value for money and much better suits if you had gone to a tailor and had a few made bespoke, rather than dropping thousands of dollars on just the names, even though their quality isn't really all that much better than the cheaper suits (bar maybe Hugo Boss).
Plus if you're going for some sort of good feedback by wearing those brands, you will get far better street-cred from a fully custom suit than anything from that list. |
i have to agree, but fledz is tall like me....the guy who buys a load of brand names probably has a small and can fit in anything. A good tailor is worth his weight in gold, because 95% of the time, if the arms are long enough, the clothes are made for fat s which does not work. |

| Ugh buying clothes just based on the brand is something I would never do. :o |

That just means your clothes are flashy.
The whole 'it's a Versace shirt, bro!' thing...blegh. |
