Idk I guess I don't consider wearing sweatpants or gym shorts to class to be that awful. It's just class. Do you wear designer clothing to the gym too? :p

It's disrespectful. Those are designed for exercising. It's like wearing whatever you sleep in to class. It just shouldn't be done. I don't expect everyone to wear dress shirts or polo shirts, but looking like you just woke up or just came from the gym just makes you look like an idiot and immature.

And I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've talked to both professors at several schools and recruiters from several top fortune companies based in Seattle and they all are not impressed by college students these days. Things like dress or other little etiquette things or manners are sorely lacking these days.

I know you're attempting to make a joke, but don't be an idiot.

I'm sorry but that is completely retarded. Obviously the recruiters are one thing, but if a professor cares what their students wear to their classes, they should find a new job. There's nothing disrespectful about wearing perfectly normal clothes to a ing college class. Come on now, that's just silly.

Kids are there to learn, not to dress nice for professor Cockass.

I'm pretty slack with fashion. Comfort > all else.

Living in Brisbane, half the year is just hot as , so clothing is based purely on keeping cool: Shorts (mostly cargos cos I like pockets), t-shirt, sandals.

The weather is a bit cooler now that it's almost winter, so I mostly wear jeans or cargo pants, with a t-shirt, or a long-sleeve shirt if it's cold enough (which it isn't yet), and Merrell trainers.

I have a few collared shirts, dress shirts and dress shoes, but I only wear them maybe 10 times a year. Advantage of working at home :p

Gym clothing is not perfectly normal clothing . It's ing gym clothing.

Why? Why is that type of clothing only to be worn at the gym? Who is this that dictates what is acceptable and what is not acceptable to wear while attending a college lecture?

I hardly ever wear/wore gym shorts outside of going to the gym or running, but I'm not going to go and throw a hissy fit if I see someone wearing gym shorts in public. That would just make me sound like a pretentiously materialistic dildo.

If you don't want to wear that kind of stuff to class, then don't. But really who are you to be offended by the way someone else dresses?

Designer jeans (mostly Sevens) most of the time, occasionally slacks or other nicer pants.

Pretty much always wear either dress shirts/nice button ups or a polo shirt when I'm outside, though usually wear t-shirts on Fridays to be all casual and .

Have a variety of shoes of different types and different colors depending on what else I'm wearing or what the occasion is.

Normally have a jacket or two since it's ing cold and rainy in Seattle most of the year.

The dress shirts vary in brand, but I have a lot of Lacoste and Ralph Lauren polos. Do most of my shopping at Nordstrom's or Neiman Marcus, occasionally Saks. Banana Republic for most of my really casual wear.

I hate people who wear basketball shorts or sweatpants outside (and especially to class). That's not ing acceptable.
What kind of dude calls a pair of jeans "designer jeans".. you must be a gay.
