Most guys have no clue what suits are supposed to look like, how pants should fit, etc. Hell, I'd bet at least 50% don't know how to polish their shoes. |

Yea you're right, I guess we do have an advantage because we're tall. A good tailored suit still looks better on even a short person though if made right.

Yep, the amount of ill fitting suits I see is ridiculous. A well fitted suit looks absolutely fantastic, regardless of the material. Though you would hope it would be 100% wool or another natural fibre. |

its not an advantage i find, because if you want to look good and aren't overweight even the "off the rack" purchases need alterations.
the only advantage we have is better genetics, schematics, and well......chicks like tall guys in suits:p
it still sucks to spend that extra few bucks to fit. is expensive enough. (hello tax deduction) |

as a taller skinny dudes you guys should be wearing lighter colored suits with a more natural shoulder line so you dont look too boxy. also as being tall and skinny you should be using a 3 button jacket with higher cut lapels
big jim just thinks labels are cool. he likes to be able to say my suit is a CK or that. I really doubt he knows what hes doing when it comes to fitting |

I just had my grad yesterday, this is what I wore:

I got everything for super cheap. The suit's Tommy Hillfiger but they were having a 40% off sale and I got it for $125, the tie's DKNY and I got it from TIp Top, it was $60 so kind of expensive but it's exactly what I wanted so I got it anyway, the pants are slim fit dress pants from Le Chateau and they were $70 and I got the dress shirt a while ago from Mexx for $60.
I already had the shirt so I got everything for under $300!
It'd be pointless for me to get anything tailored, I'm still growing. |
