I'm sure that in your circles you heard about the reindeer piss installation in Berlin. I was tempted to go, but for the price. How many people can claim to have got high from reindeer urine? :p

That article misses out on one bit - apparently the mushrooms are too toxic for humans, but after being passed through the reindeer they can be handled. |
I've heard of it in a general sense but not of that installation.
Some people believe there is a similar ecologial history with psilocybin mushrooms too. The idea is that they originally grew out of cow dung, and humans began to domesticate (lol) cattle in part to harvest mushrooms from them, which they used to acquire emotional, spiritual, and sensory prowess that spurned the development of language, civilization vis-a-vis settlement/husbandry, and religion. They say that this is why cattle are so revered across many cultures - for a long time they were more valuable and useful than currency.
I don't know if I buy it given who it comes from :p |

And don't correct my grammar. You use ellipses after every sentence. |
I do but it's completely intentional... |

That seems unlikely, but not unbelievable. Interesting, for thought, anyway. According to two different people I've spoken to, cow dung is the best place to find shrooms. |

| Hey Domesticated, can you get shrooms in Berlin? If so, I'll come over to visit you! :toothless |

| i can only imagine that listening to euro on shrooms must be very similar to that clockwork orange brainwash scene. |

I have not tried shrooms yet. Been contemplating on risking a buy from www.wholecelium.com though. You can buy philosopher's stones there, Meat187 :)

The mushrooms have been officially outlawed but now (as you said), they have magic truffles, which do exactly the same thing. |
You can still buy them in shops without any waiting list etc. No worries.
Yes, they're still good giggly fun too :) |

Yes, they are great. Probably my favourite drug, and I'm sad that they're one of the harder ones to get. I don't tend to believe in taking drugs for spirituality and all that garbage, but the first few times I took shrooms it made me feel as if I'd never known myself properly prior to then. They can make you look extremely objectively at your life, cutting out all personal bias and evaluating things very sensibly. It made me make a few personal changes which bettered me.
I was expecting them to make me woozy and slow the weed does, too. The energy is amazing though, and music sounds incredible, both in the atavistic, bodily sense like ecstasy and the intellectual/mental sense too. Love all the hallucinations, the slight paranoia, the green glow that everything gives off, the "missions" you go on, the segmented, chapter-like narrative the night takes on. |
This sums it up for me too. Definitely my favorite and for all the reasons listed above and more. Amazing experiences in all settings: on the beach at night in the summer, at parties, chillin at home with a close knit group of friends, at a Digweed show (lol), sitting on the roof of my house at sunset.... GAH! I want some!
I used to get my own in the cow fields in Florida... good lord some of the dankest, visually trippy shrooms EVER. The typical Cubensis ones were really nice but the Hawaiian strain that's in a lot of fields down there... mind blowing trips. I'm talking about these:

The last time I had some was 2006. My friend and I were in Amsterdam and ate some Colombian shrooms, then proceeded to take a taxi to the Van Gogh museum 45 minutes later. They had a Rembrandt exhibit going on too that day, and man... incredible. I was lost in the paintings. It was so amazing I was almost brought to tears. :p
We had to leave early because my friend started bugging out and got that "I gotta break outta here!" feeling. |

| I just remembered... for anyone who may eat shrooms in the near future, before getting into the Pink Floyd and other stuff of that nature, throw in the GZA's "Liquid Swords" cd.... it's unbelievable when you're in that state! :p |
