I haven't listened to the radio or watched TV since 1997. I actively avoid anything being pushed by mainstream media, for precisely that reason. I abhor it, and I do everything to avoid it.
I don't know why people insist that the reason I don't like Rap/Hip-Hop has got to be because I haven't listened to the "good" kind of Rap/Hip-Hop. I did, and I simply don't like it, for reasons Domesticated and I pointed out above. |

I'm the same. It's got nothing to do with hipsterism or superiority. It's for the same reason that you wouldn't go to the movies to see Big Momma's House 2, go to a death metal concert or a dinner date with IGK. You just know it's going to be irrelevant to your tastes and not worth the time. |
