Does the COR approve if I (or anyone else) occasionally like(s) a hiphop/r&b tune? (pg. 7)

^^ Lira's post would be valid if I indeed knew nothing on the matter. So that doesn't apply here.

You're not reading the lyrics/listening to good artists or songs then.

I was referring to the Raekwon song you posted.

When people say that, it means they don't understand it.

Did you read anything I posted previously?.. I specifically said that I prefer reading a good Hip-Hop song. I enjoy it more than way, listening to it does nothing for me, as I don't enjoy it musically.

Of course I read your previous posts. Reading hip-hop lyrics is equivalent to looking at sequencer patterns and note progression for trance music. You aren't doing justice to the music itself. Or it's like reading the cliff notes for a novel. You are only getting half of the intended meaning, which means you don't understand it completely.

When people use a Lira quote to defend their standpoint then it's an unmistakable sign that they're just talking silly nonsense.

When people say "Genre X sucks" without any supporting arguments, it means they know all about it.

Wrong. I simply don't enjoy it musically. But I'd still read the lyrics as some of it actually has some substance. I'd at least get some enjoyment out of the song that way.

I fail to see why some of you have so much trouble understanding the concept.

We're having trouble understanding your viewpoint because it's ing retarded. Voice inflection, timing, and flow has everything to do with how the message in a hip-hop track is portrayed. By reading it, you aren't getting the message at all, regardless of how much you say you are.

The supporting argument is that my ears start to bleed and the only way I can prevent my head from exploding is by chewing of a finger until only a sharp piece of bone is left that I can use to pierce my eardrums.
