"1500 years ago, everybody 'knew' that the Earth was the center of the universe. 500 years ago, everybody 'knew' that the Earth was flat. And 15 minutes ago, you 'knew' that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll "know" tomorrow."

One day, years from now, people will speak of the primitive humans of the 21st century, and their belief in things like magic, Christianity, and a whole host of completely nonsensical things!

A Will Smith movie said it before you. Get over it!

Actually, we've known that the Earth is round for more than 2500 years. Nobody circumnavigated before Chris C. because of all the costs involved, and because no one knew for sure if the journey was really feasible. Pythagoras is credited as being the first person to realise the Earth is spherical, and the idea was almost 2000 years old by the time Columbus got to our side of the Atlantic :)

That quote is from a movie, Marcus. :p
And yeah Chris C. is credited for discovering a lot of that was already there.

I know, I meant to end my post with the note "Will Smith: Since 1990 killing aliens, mutants, and history" :p

Specific religions aside, I think what everyone needs to become more aware of is their spiritual side and how much energy they exhaust on a daily basis just spreading negativity or being a downer in general. This goes for everything, from your jobs to your relationships, if it doesn't 'feel' right then it isn't... we're often misled by money or lust because that's what we're fed in the Western world.

It completely baffles me that in this day and age where people have the internet to access tons of information (and misinformation) that they choose to be indoctrinated by the likes of TMZ and other useless trash. To each their own, as I've always said, but I'd like to return to a spirit of optimism vs one of doom & gloom... though I don't blame people for being negative considering the middle class is eroding away and companies like Monsanto think ing with our food is a good thing.

This post has wisdom.

I may have a few screws loose but I do have an intimate relationship with Jesus.

When it gets thick and thin, I say "Get away from me satan. Check my relationship status, it says taken."

Do you touch each other in naughty ways? Otherwise its not really an intimate relationship, youre stuck in the friend zone.

Ive skimmed through this thread, didnt read everything.

I just dont get one thing. You believe in Christ, great...so do I. Why do you keep preaching about it, esp to ppl (most) on this forum that dont want anything to do with hearing/learning etc?

Do what you believe in, you said it once, ok...no need to beat a dead horse
