I understand why people say "don't shove your religion/belief system down my throat". Yet every time I read religion threads on here the atheists are shoving their down everyone's throat.
Theists claim to be right, atheists claim to be right, and I've yet to see someone win one of these debates so why don't you all take a ing Ativan or 4 and calm the storm.

A presumably religious person started this thread, it is an invitation. :)
Also, religion is probably the most interesting and important topic of all. No one will ever win the debate, it is nevertheless always worth discussing.
And because, in all the Galaxy, they had found nothing more precious than Mind, they encouraged its dawning everywhere. |

Well, I was half-right. The Bible talks about people who took their own lives but there is no direct translation to the word Suicide from the original greek and hebrew bible. It also doesn't say whether the individual goes to heaven or hell, but the accepted theology is that hell is the destination because he or she decided to elevate suicide above Jesus and living for him. |
