So, how do you suppose we get rid of 'em once and for all?:conf:

Why do you people continue to give this guy a platform? You do know he's been trolling this site for over 7 years now, probably has the most suspensions than any other user on TA.

That is all theology. I like theology but any debate on this matter has to start at the foundation of: is there any evidence to say there is even a supernatural to begin with? People like to skip that part and move straight to theology. Most likely because there is a great paucity of foundational evidence to support that there is a supernatural, much less this particular brand of a particular religion. Deism is one thing. In fact, I am sure one could come up with a deistic scenario without breaking the laws of physics or even involving the supernatural. However, beware, the more specific it becomes the more improbable.

moral is providing information from a christian perspective. to do so he isn't required to make a metaphysical argument for the existence of god. whether god exists or not has no impact on his explanation of what christians teach or believe.

I know he's trolling, but god damn it, do I hate Christians! Deep down, everyone knows that Christians just can't be good for the world. Don't be ashamed of your hatred. Their idols have no place here! :whip:

I love these quotes from Gandhi:

“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

"God has no religion"

“Religions are different roads converging to the same point. What does it matter that we take different roads, so long as we reach the same goal?

“So long as there are different religions, everyone one of them may need some distinctive symbol. But when the symbol is made into a fetish and an instrument of proving superiority of one’s religion over others’ it is fit only to be discarded.”

Divine or not or whether or not he was supernatural, Jesus Christ was a good role model. Most Christians don't follow the true teachings of Christ yet they claim to do so. I agree that they are total hypocrites. Religion is a man-made institution, and since human beings aren't perfect, religion is never going to be perfect. And every area that a certain religion spreads to, it is heavily going to be influenced by that area's culture, methods, and it's people.

Mattsanity.
I may have a dark past in this community, but God the Father uses the trash or the unlikely in this world to be a significant influence to others. Yall think Moses was fresh for freeing his people from Pharaoh and splitting the sea in half? He murdered someone, but God transformed him into an icon.

6meets9, your agreement with Ghandi's quote is unquestionable. There's nothing I can add or subtract from his quote.

I know this is going to sound preposterous at first, but Jesus is greater than religion.
Just like Jefferson Bethke said, religion is man reaching up to God while christianity is God reaching down to man.

Have a joyous good friday everyone. Jesus of Nazareth lost a lot of blood that day with no guilt whatsoever. That is why today, or any other day, is good.

You could just pick number 4 and the rest would never have even happened.
