Armin in NYC for NYE is a much hotter ticket and many more people are willing to pay $180 for a night of partying here - namely tourists and wealthy.
diabloargentino
is that the confirmed price or our speculation?

Speculation based on last year's Deadmau5 NYE party.

Amateur night anyway. Can't we just have a little TA shindig at someone's place?

Rich and I have power again...

LOL at at the all those VIP packages. Love the "nothing but Armin VIP package". Does Armin come to your table and pour you drinks??

LOL, the equivalent package for Deadmouse was $15k plus gratuity and fees, so maybe $25k because it's Armin? For that price he better be sitting with you all night, pouring you drinks and giving you $20,000 in cash.

-ty crowds
-long lines at bars

You forgot: feature NY-centric type of tracks (darker/techier + customary block of cheese), if that's your cup of tea. Read: W&W crap or Skyfire cheese.

I can think of 600 better ways to spend the kind of money I think this will cost.

MTV News: What can fans expect from AVB on NYE? Do you have a message for New York?

AVB: I've never played NYE in NY so it will be very special for me as New York is one of the most important markets for me. Fans can expect a full show with full production and some special surprises, of course.

Hear that, NY? Markets. How much ing money does this guy really need?

So tempted for Markus Schulz on the West Coast. He's currently one of a few DJs that I hold in high regard. He's a DJ! He's the only top tier DJ that actually does a long extended set (whenever) for the fans.I totally agree about Schulz doing open to close in LA.

AVB will be ok/fun for most. For the hardcore fans in us, it's not f&^%* enough! 4 hr is ok but not something that will blow your mind. If he knows NYC market and how important this market has been for him since the early days, he should know to raise the bar even higher. This is not EDC, this is not Ultra or like other music festivals, It's NYC on NYE!

I hope I am wrong but Armin has become really "soft" for the last few years with his ASOT, Armada gone globally. It's been a long time i totally dig his entire set. Luckily, the last one i actually liked was the ASOT550 Ibiza closing set.

I wish it's an Armin only type of event, open to close, up close and personal with the fans! Music/Artist fans be damned, capitalism is here!

0.02 is done :)
