Also, which is the best out of the following hotels
- Greektown
- Hilton Garden Inn
- Holiday Inn Express
I think I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express once and it was ok.
I may just bite the bullet and go for the Ren Cen. Last time I went to DEMF I vowed never to stay there again because they almost ed me out of a double bed room even though I reserved in January, and suggested that the other person sleep on the floor lol.
However, the convenience factor may just outweigh everything. It's so close to the festival and it's a great option for pit stops. |

Booked at the Marriot, I believe I can roll out of bed and land in Hart Plaza.
The line up is just fullllll of techno this year, no beatport deep house chart toppers like last year. I hope Skudge and DJ Koze are booked for phase 2. and maybe some more Detroit techno acts, I loved all the brothers playing vinyl last year. Give me Omar-S, Delano Smith, Moodymann! |

Probably either going to be really cheap for opening weekend like DoubleTree was their first year, or they'll already have grandopening bookings for the long weekend.

They did the same thing to me last year at DoubleTree, said I checked in too late for the Double room I reserved in Jan of that year. I threw a fit and they dropped the room price and then their customer service comped me a free nights stay afterwards.
Anyways, did you get VIP this year? I think that discount Westin is worth one VIP ticket in the group for sure! Our rooms are already booked and ready to go with the discount.
I'd do Holiday Inn Express, it's easy to get to, pretty decent place. If it's under 2 bills, I'd get that for sure.
I've heard strange things about the Greektown, mainly because of the mix of guests, people there for the casino and stuff and then mixing our our people stumbling in at midnight and 5am, the thump thump throw the walls of after party music etc. And the casino is kinda intense at 6am coming back from the Works.
Never been to or heard of the Hilton Garden, but I think it's just Quality Inn or something that HIlton bought recently.
I never liked the RenCen, never stayed there, but visited a few times and got so much trouble and hassle, and heard nothing but horror stories. But, I've also heard people praise it up and down. |

i have friends who stay at Greektown every year... they really like it, but its too far for me... but they also arent retards and behave themselves when in the hotel...
the Hilton has little rooms, and is pretty far from Hart Plaza...
ive been staying at the Holiday Inn Express for the past 4 years... a cheaper place, and very DEMF friendly... will be there again this year... :toocool: |

Greektown was AMAZING last year. Pimp rooms, no hassle, and a few good eats on the way back (5 guys, deep dish pizza). |

Greektown food is def the best!
Anything I've heard, was only that, hearsay, I've never stayed there for DEMF, I think I stayed there once before tho on a random night, the rooms were nice if I recall. But it is a bit of a hike to a from the fest if you're intending on heading back and forth throughout the day. |

| I love how tech based phase 1 is. No one better be bitchin' about the lack of it! Also, lots of names I've yet to see on the bill for DEMF. VERY exciting!! Maetrik :eyespop: |
