After Phase 1, I think this year's line up is the best one yet in terms of being fresh and ahead of the curve.
Phase 2 had a few good names and a lot of names I didn't know (which is actually a good thing - I get to try new things)
Looking forward to Phase 3. They still have a few big names to drop I think. The only headliner potentials I see so far are Klock vs. Dettman and maybe Derrick May vs. Saunderson. They have at least 1 or 2 more main stage closing headliners to announce.
I reeeeeeally hope Klock & Dettman close the main stage. that would be bananas. |

Still holding out for a big name electronica act to be closing out mainstage.
And still think there will be some more "popular" or recognizable names for the 3rd phase.
If Graeme doesn't recognize half the second phase, they must be really unknown. I can recognize by seeing their name in in a review or from the nets, but couldn't tell you a track or set by most of them.
But the way I look at it, as great at the lineup is so far, I don't even need a lineup and I'll still buy my tickets and get my room in advance because I trust Paxahau and their bookings and know I'll have a great time for 72 hours in Detroit. |

So with three phases and two announced... who else are you expecting to see?
I think there may be some contractual announcement deals and phase 3 may not be able to be announced to after WMC.
Thinking about many potential acts which would destroy DEMF!
Pretty much anyone that is booked in March for the Foundry party series, particulary Bicep, Omar S, Schlomo.
Maetrik(Maceo) is already booked, so perhaps Danny Daze will return for another year and we get to check out their Jupiter Jazz collab. Lots of hype for WMC for their debut together.
Pan Pot SHOULD be there IMO...
Anyone else have speculation, wishlist, desire, hopes, rumours, secrets of Phase 3?

Agreed very much so but doesnt look hopeful....I was looking at their Tour schedule and looks like they will be in Europe at the Time of Demf....Not saying its not possible for one day but doubtful....A Mobille Afterparty would be nice
I would also like to get some more Get Physical artists especially M.A.N.D.Y. again! |

you guys have no idea what a sketch hotel is. I stayed at The Leland hotel when I went to DEMF. Any locals familiar? If you want to get an idea, read these reviews: http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Rev...t_Michigan.html
Its half hotel half housing project. The elevators still smell like cigarette smoke from the 80's. My room was next to an "abandonned" room full of old furniture. Nevertheless, I never felt unsafe and I enjoyed my weekend greatly. Just dont be a about it. |
