I think it was more so to boost the ticket sales. Selling 50k tickets requires some serious marketing. I would be surprised if the event sells out.

Rogers center doesn't need a severely huge amount of people to hit capacity. They're just pulling back the modular seats and it will be as big as it is for any other concert. Watching the DJ line-up video is quite an illusion of grandeur. It's not going to be as big as the video makes it seem.
I also doubt they will sell out....
... then again, when I was younger, I would have JUMPED on the opportunity to go to this because artists like Ferry Corsten or Darren Tate or Thrillseekers would have been on the bill... perhaps it's good to go just for the once-in-a-lifetime chance??

I don't get why there's so little support for this event. I can't really speak for Otto Knows, but the rest of the guys will play a good mix of non-mainstream house and tech-house that suits the sensation brand. Again, with the exception of otto knows, I doubt you will hear someone play tiesto or "dont you worry child". The music might not be heavy like some techno guys like Richie, Beyer, or others are on the bill, but they still tend to get pretty creative and keep the atmosphere fun and energetic

The support is low because Toronto has a more established underground scene and the line-up doesn't reflect that by any means. Not to forget they are competing up against Digital Dreams and Veld, the other 2 up and coming music festivals in the city, which have way better line-ups.
There was no reason why they could not have booked a better line-up for Toronto. I am really disappointed having bought my ticket.
