I have and I'm going to this one too. It's a fantastically produced event. The haters and pathetically predictable elitism on these boards nowadays is sad.

How dare you! These people are the only ones that know music, don't you know?

The hours are 6PM to 2AM. I guess since Bud Light is a sponsor they want to stay within liquor license hours.

For the ones complaining about cost, may I remind you that Bal en Blanc costs $150 right now for a regular ticket and has 1/20th of the production value of Sensation.

As someone else has mentioned, not all Sensation events have commercial-only DJs

The hours do sound sort of weird. 6 to 2? That's 8 hours. What are BenB hours? Like 10 to 10AM?

The NYC lineup was pretty decent but I have a feeling it will be something a little more like this

Belgium 2013

Mr. White
2000 and one
Nic Fanciulli
Fedde le Grand
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano
Yves V

I could easily see these 3 bookings on the bill!

So... what are the events about these days? The music? Or some light show?

Because I really don't care how many lasers and strobe lights and unicorns prancing around the stage, as long as the music is good and the sound is wicked.

Seems that there is way too much emphasis on the spectacle, and not enough about the quality of music.

exactly why I'm not expecting much from this event. Fanciulli is the only name that raises an eye brow for me there

Agreed. If the lineup is like Belgium, then no thanks. I'll wait for next year and hope for a better line up. If it's like Brooklyn then I'll go for sure.

You're projecting. There's absolutely nothing wrong with people demanding quality, rather than simply accepting what's handed to them - the lack of such demands is half the reason the world we live in is such a environmental, social and political mess.

one event is 8 hours and BeB is 12, is overnight and is still busy by close the next day.

one is about the production the other is more about the ppl and the sexy Mtl vibe.

one signifies the end of Winter, the other the beginning of summer, imo.

one is in a massive stadium room (so far?) and the other has two rooms

imo, ppl are paying too much for both, but that's just my opinion.

@ Nobbie Q: You're expected to wear white. IT is strictly enforced and no, they won't hand out white clothes at the venue. You're allowed lettering, graphics or patterns on the clothes, but white has to be the main colour and stand out.
If you want to have a good idea of what people wear, just look up the videos of past parties.
If you still don't know what to wear, you can shop for clothes and accessories at the SENSATION Store
