I think it's hilarious how people are upset that others won't shell out $100 before they know who'se playing. How does that even make sense at all? Why would I want to pay only to find out I have little to no interest in anybody getting booked? The biggest reason is, the visuals are so cool man oh you have to see them! Frankly, I don't give a . Partying fans will go regardless, music fans will wait. That's the difference.

I believe we are going just for the sake of it. Unfortunately this event is coming in 5 years too late...but yeah we'll be going for nostalgia's sake.

I would too cuz I doubt I will be going to a Sensation in Europe any time soon. Also with DEMF the weekend before, I think my money will be better spent there lol

@ The Rattler: You're missing my point. I'm not getting upset over people not wanting to pay... it's your f*%$ing money. Do with it, what you want.
What annoys me, though, is people bitching about:
1) ticket price and
2) ticket sales without DJ lineup
when other promoters in Canada have been doing it for ages.
The funny thing is that the people bitching wouldn't go anyway unless a friend put them on the guest list.

Ticket price: Yes, I find the VIP price exagerated, but the regular ticket is within the price of other similar events. Go buy a Bal en Blanc ticket right now. It's $149 before taxes and service charges. Years ago, I paid $150 for a ticket to Resolution in Montreal.
Oh but this party is shorter... what about artists that charge a similar fee (or higher) for a 2 hr concert ?

Ticket sales without DJ lineup: again, Bal en Blanc does it all the time, Black en Blue has done it and some festivals do it too. At least for this one, once they announce the theme, you know what the setup is like and if you take 5min to look at past events, you see some DJ names coming up more than once.
By the way, it's not true that no DJs have been announced. Mr White is the opening DJ ;-)

Let me refer you to this thread:
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...s=#.UTgTdTvfCSo
where Playgroung productions expects you to give them your hard earned cash ($100) on presale tickets for an event where people wear white, there will be 2 rooms, but the DJs will come later. Although one thing is sure, there will be some cheese from DJ Mag's top ten DJs. The sale starts Nov 17th. The first 1000 tickets @ 100 sell out in a few minutes with the next tickets costing $125. It's only on Dec 7th that the first DJ is announced.

So please stop acting like offended virgins

And you'll hear the same complaints about that party.
Spin Laden
and if you guys don't complain, we'll conplain that no one complains anymore on TA.
PivotTechno
I feel very strongly about this thread, one way or the other.

Honestly, the set is the star. You go for the experience. You won't walk away saying any of the dj's 'sucked'. I wasn't thrilled about the lineup when they announced it, but I thought everyone delivered. It was one of the best parties I've been to. Just go for it.

That being said, the pre-sales are gone. It opens up to the public at 10am, I suggest you don't sleep on it, because it WILL sell out quick.

For those who feel very strongly about knowing the lineup beforehand (perfectly reasonable imo) or that think this event is is not their cup of tea, don't go. No need to stress about it, not the end of the world. Luckily the festival scene in Toronto seems to be picking up, lots of choices this year.

For those on the fence, this is all you need to hear:

Sensation organizers wasted a butt load of money in ads, social media hype and videos. All they really needed to do was print that quote right _there_ on a bunch of billboards and perhaps a few youtube ads, and they had the best selling point of any party. Seriously, if tatgirl tells you it is one of the best parties she's been to, you better damn go.

Haha if only I got paid for my seal of approval.... <3 ya

I have wrangled *amazing* friends from FL, DC, NJ, TO & Montreal to go to this- all the people who used to come visit me when I used to live there, a couple I haven't seen since my wedding. I couldn't wrangle anyone for the one in NYC, so this shows Toronto's appeal. It's going to be a frigging reunion!! Even though I've come back to TO to visit since I've left, there was never any good parties happening the weekends I was there. This will be like a true 'homecoming' for me. Been crying tears of joy. June 1 can't come soon enough.

Hope to see you all there. :)
