General Hux would do all that. :o
edit: I predict a showdown/battle for power and approval between Hux and Ren. I haven't really read much more than page 3 of this thread, I hope nobody's suggested this already. :/ |

At least we've got Snoke to fill that place in the upcoming films.
I actually like the fact that Kylo wasn't just pure evil because of reasons. It gives him much more depth as a character, although it means he will never become an iconic character like Vader who he so much wants to be.
Essentially it gives the writers of future films much more freedom - there's so many different directions that character could go. |

Presumably, his character will become more bad-ass as his training is completed. I sure hope so, anyway.
On a different tangent, I'm enjoying the discussions flying around the internet regarding Rey's background, the most notable of which (in my eyes, anyway) is that she might be a Kenobi. During the force-vision/lightsaber scene, both Ewan McGregor's and Alec Guinness' voices can be heard, which I find very interesting.
Here's an article I was reading earlier.

The accent alone is enough for me. I even thought to myself "Wait, what's with the accent and where does that fit?" I mean I know many characters have different accents, but it stands out at seeming deliberate for her for some reason. |

It was absolutely deliberate. John Boyega is also British, but was made to speak with an American accent instead. Daisy Ridley was not. |

Yeah. I couldn't figure out why I knew him, then I was like "Attack the Block!" :p |

A Kenobi offspring huh? Well I suppose that would explain some things, like how she was able to pick up on the Force so damn quick. I was just under the impression that Obi-Wan never did find love or fell in love at all in his life. After all he comes from the older Jedi order that forbids love and marriage.
Then again who knows? Maybe he did hit some Tatooine during his time as a hermit. Maybe a one night stand during the Clone Wars, but he would then have to be Rey's grandfather for that to work. |
