it was a pleasure meeting a lot of the NY TA's. the beautiful PPR girls were so sweet- daniela, bri, lisa and it was good putting some other faces to names.

as for stringfelowhawk (aaron's) post, that is such nonsense. he was with me the whole weekend ;) and he'd have to be smoking crack with a gun to his head to ever say pvd sucks. whoever wrote that- stop living vicariously through my baby. :toothless

after writing this review, Im going to have to require you to please redo your sig. Thank you. :D

HOLY GOD..lots of action in this thread.

I just want to say this:

PvD takes my breath away...always....and after discussing this nonstop for 6 hours stuck in a tiny car with my brother, we have decided that my negativity was due to lack of AIR and oxygen to my brain. (my bro was with me and LOVED the set - he is the one who introduced me to PvD). Apparently I was going nuts in the club but...oh who cares? I just feel guilty that I said anything remotely negative about Paul because , cheesy as it is, his music and style has colored my life and done so much for me. Unbeknownst to Paul van Dyk, he got me through the hardest times in my life and kept me ALIVE.

Shame on me for being silly. :whip:

I love paul!:toothless

Wow, I really sound like a complete dick huh? Its too bad that i didn't even have access to a computer all of yesterday and didn't write any of that. How someone logged on under my name is unknown to me and am not gonna waste time trying to figure it out. I haven't been able to post for a while for some reason but finally figured out a way to get back on. I would spend time dwelling on the issue trying to figure out why someone would take the time to do that but I'll just say to whoever did it, ing grow up and get a life and most importantly quit trying to create drama because no one especially me has the time or inclination to deal with it. To all those who found my post offensive, please disregard... just a simple case of someone trying to be funny or trying to brighten their completely miserable life by creating drama on here. The thing that upsets me the most is not that they made me look like an but rather that someone used my name to talk on PvD, def a big no no.

Anyway, on a much happier and not so surprisng note... I loved Paul's set on Friday (#10 for me). He started out strong and let up a little bit playing some prog, techno, breaks... I wasn't going completely nuts at that point but was definitely grooving to it. Towards the end though I couldn't go fast enough or dance hard enough. The highlight (other than dancing with my baby all night to PvD) was when he went from Animacion, to Out There and Back (favorite PvD tune), and then to Syanthesia... Holy I flipped the out. Talked to a lot of people who left early and said the night was bleh, so glad I stayed til the end because he definitely rewarded the faitful ones. That's all for now. Peace

makes more sense ! i take back my sperm comment... it wasn't original anyway

lol! Good one.

:stongue: :stongue: I've had really scratched cds that have played on certain players, but some dislike even minute scratches.....

I remember when I saw Tiesto once he was jumping and clapping so hard that he knocked the tone arm off of his record. He didn't get all pissy about it and storm off; He just smiled and put the needle back where it should be. The crowd started chanting, "Tiesto! Tiesto!"

I've heard Sasha has a bit of a sour attitude as well.:nervous:

and the truth is DJs HATE spinning with cds to the extent that some make sure that they always have a vinyl on the deck just in case...... it seems that cds have a bigger tendency to screw up in club environments go figure why :conf: :wtf:

Ahh....

I just realized a possibility. Think about 1000,2000-3000 people jumping up and down simultaneously. Don't you think that could make the needle jump a bit on a deck, or the laser to miss it's mark on the CD and skip? Of course I have no idea if a Pioneer CDJ deck has anti skip where it reads like 40 seconds ahead and stores it in memory to avoid skips. I doubt a DJ would use that feature though, if it were available when spinning. I've never used one, so I have no idea.

i look at this set as part of a total journey that has been existing and will continue next time...

I had a good time...I wasn't able to stay for his whole set this time tho. I guess mostly due to the fact that I was already really tired and those Red Bulls were not working. Thanks to all those who supplied drinks to the, "Let's get Liz drunk" fund. Rick! I think it was your drink that got me happily drunk.

It was great meeting Decibel, KlingKlang (you're so cool! Let's party again sometime!!!), and VisionsofPVD.
I can't believe you came Daniela! That was one of the highlights of my night! Scott and Rick, it was great partying the night away with you guys! Sorry I left early. Thanks for the b-day wishes Alex, Brianna, Shannon (I loved your top!) and to everyone else.

I must say though that it really wasn't the same without Fox and John. Your presence was definitely missed. :(

I'm kinda pissed I missed Born Slippy. But I guess hearing Children made up for it. I loved that mix!

Ok sorry this is all over the place. I can't seem to organize my thoughts.

i hate when fox doesnt go to the show, that means you dont get a good tracklisting =)

could anyone throw down a compiled tracklist? every site i go to has a different one, ezdreamer, clubplanet, and us.

dude, pvd's twilo sets always got hard as , and that is why they blew me away. he was always open to playing techno and progressive and other styles of music.... in fact, he has said in an interview that is why he liked the twilo crowd, because they were receptive to wherever he took them....

exactly, with his marathon sets you gotta expect some variety and what better place for a lil experimentation than nyc?
