Yup, the closing track was Te Amo.

So I wasnt the only one who noticed the dealers lol. There was a guy standing within a few feet of us who had the balls to pack his stash in his cigarette out in the open.

prolly cause of the equipment problem he had up @ Aria... come see him spin 6 hrs in NYC sometime -- its definitely worth the trip

through all my years of following PVD .. i have never considered him a hard progressive dj until couple years ago... that is why i stopped going to his events... back in the day he used to play the most wonderful, uplifting, and energetic sets with crazy buildups! now he started mess'n around with that progressive sounds... and thats not what his sound is(IMO). i really hope he doesnt try to make any hard progressive tracks... thats when i will stop listening to trance/electronic music all together. BRING THE OLD PVD BACK!!! gosh.. i remember the good old twilo nights when PVD just blew everyone away. and another thing.... if hard progressive/trance is your forte, u will go see sander, umek or maybe even marco v ... but def. not PVD... well now i guess that has changed a bit.

Paul has always been playing a mixture of fast progressive house, techno, trance, and recently breaks and electro. Even his Twilo sets back in 1999 and 2000 reflects that. Paul tends to come in hard and fast and then slow down to progressive house and breaks in the middle and then back up to hard and fast.

I think by labelling artists as "trance dj" or "progressive dj" creates expectations often not fulfilled. I love Paul for his musical tastes and his technical proficiency. I goto his shows expecting good music.

Sure, I can spot a scratched CD from 10, mabye even 15 feet away... I thought I was the only one though... :conf:

Guys, the reason why PvD seemed a little off during the past couple of shows was because he has been feeling sick throughout the tour; especially since Wednesday.

Scott, you took the words right out of my mouth...he has never played one set in NY that was ALL "uplifting"..and im really starting to hate labelling sets let alone tracks....

BTW-I dont believe he played Syntax-Pray or Frozen February...

I think he was on-point, sick or not sick...and it would be great that the majority of the crowd was from TA, but that will never happen...so lets not even label crowds...for all we know, there might've been a bunch cuban refugees who decided to attend...hehe..

i'm glad that i wasn't the only one who felt that PVD's set was a little lackluster. no anthems came on just a lot of house, breakbeats. i thought it was gonna start pickin up when I Feel You came on, but the energy just flat out dissipated. And what'st he deal with him playing Andrea Brown - Trippin' and that Dark Beat song? I can go on a regular club night at Exit or whatever and hear that crap.

I gotta say, i slept all the way through his set. i think i heard like 3 seconds of ONE song he played.

Wait, that may have been 'cause i was AT HOME *fat grin*

hehehe

I heard that is rocked. I wish I had gone, but tomorrow is payback time.
