I don't ride wooden coasters. I like the speed and the lateral g's on steel coasters.

Damn telephone.

i dunno the rickety wooden roller coasters are better because i feel im gonna die at any second! :tongue2 the hurler and Rebel Yell and that other one... damn whats it called? i cant remember..its wooden at Kings Dominion and its so rickety you feel you're going to fly off at any second

Course someone did fly off the Shockwave tho. Flew halfway across the park and died.

Roller Coaster's are the and all, but for me they're just too, ummmm, *predictable*

There's nothing like the thrill of going insanely fast around a race track, except maybe that of a fighter pilot in a dogfight or a big wave surfer blazing down the face of a 30+ foot wave at Mavericks.

The Grizzly.

Well, you're getting closer. Hehe.

To date, I've only been a part-time powder hound. I need to get back to the slopes!!!!

I'm still dreaming of Jackson Hole... or Whistler! :toothless

yeah, I've done the backcountry at Jackson and whistler/blackcombe...Whistler is quite possibly the best mountain on earth, but for overall quality I love Vail, its just some of the best views while skiing ever

Whistler has a major major problem which we learned when we got there 2 years ago.

It is too low. The peak is only at 6500 feet and the base is around 1000. Most places in the rockies start around 5000-7000 feet.

The reason this is an issue is when you get a sudden warm spell right aroudn freezing, as we did. It rained pretty much all week giving us nothing to ski on the lower 2/3rds of the mountain and a lot of heavy wet powder up top. My roomate went up one morning by himself and it was pouring rain at the peak. This was the second week of January too, not late season or anything.

Whistler village was pretty cool though.

I need to get in shape and get back into skiing. I was a pretty damn good skiier when I was 7, I learned to ski at Vail...parents have a timeshare there, but moving away from mountains meant I did not ski for close to 15 years. :(
