Yes meetups are too much work! Much easier to bypass all that dinner bull, drink like a lush before hand, load up water bottles of vodka sprite, finish it in the cab ride over to glow, and then continue with vodka red bulls the rest of the night. I have it down to a science. |

strongly agreed. for me, preparty usually consists of tequila and limeade (which is exponentially better than sour mix because despite its name, sour mix is sweet). a beer or two after that, then back to liquor of some sorts. i make friends drive so i can drink in the car :)
fyi -- don't drink absinthe before glow. it ruined my first hour and a half of gabriel and dresden. i was mostly on the bench in the corner by the food/glowstick/whatever kiosk sipping water and hoping my stomach wasn't going to tear itself apart from the inside. revision: don't mix absinthe with other alcohols before glow. |

just do the jumpstart...
pour 12 shots of vodka into a glass and pound it. Then drink a glass of water. Youll be solid. then a standard 5 oz hipflask of something harder like 100 proof vodka, permafrost, or 151 will finish up the ride there. |

Hmmm advice taken. No absinthe. That's alright, I usually adhere to a regimen of ludicrous vodka sprite concotions. Luckily I've never driven to glow ... I would never be so stupid because I know what the end of my night is going to be like.
Anyway, you hang out in the left side??? I hate that side! Way too crowded at the bar and at the dance floor. I'm a firm believer that the right side is the best place to be as it offers more mobility and greater access to alcohol. Plus it's closer to the men's bathroom ;). |

What the ?! NOW you people come on...
So uhh, you guys are getting smashed before glow? Why? I guess people do different stuff when they go clubbin, and I don't really drink when I go. I might have a few jack 'n cokes when I first get there to loosen me up, but that's about it. I've only gotten ty a few times. Quite expensive.
So I think I'm actually gonna stay here for friday night and then come down saturday, so I guess that means no adam's morgan for me :( . But no doot aboot it, I'm gonna be in the door by 11. Come to think of it, I think I may actually have to shoot quite a few back before pvd comes on, but once he's on, I think I'll just let the music carry me for the rest of the night :p . |

quite logical from the male point of view. the left side is closer to the women's room. i tend to be just off the left corner of the dj glass, but i'm a firm left-sider because that's what my friends have always done.
also, one of the bartenders on the left side likes to hit on me, so i occasionally get free drinks.
unlike you, i don't deem either side to be better. you prejudiced hater! i'm just more familiar with the left :) i ventured over to the right one time to say hi to erin (tranceyes), and heading to the vip stairs. |

oh, and you get drunk before you get there so it isn't expensive there. and if you're a girl, you look lonely while standing by the bar for 10 seconds and some guy will offer to buy you a drink. |

yeah i tend to stay to the right too..then gradually work my way up to the front of the DJ booth where i stay all night.
But i dont think ill be able to to that for PVD since it will be uber-crowded.
Me and matt will be hitting up the meetup to greet everyone but once we park at glow we will be doing our traditional custom which is to chug heavily out of bottle of liqour that we brought with us.
most of the time its cheap vodka like skol or vladimir. but hey its gets the job done right?
