well, i certainly hope you have better luck with the lady squirrels than you do with the acorns ;)
what are your favorite sets? aka, which ones will be keeping you sane in bumble? i always have to bring a good book because i can honestly lose myself in a book so thoroughly that i think i'm there. |
Well since I dun have too many sets..there are only a couple I really like and listen to.
The 5 I am putting on this disc are:
PVD@Energy 10-08-03
GTR promo Mix (Apr 03)
Sasha & Pete Tong - Essential Mix 23Aug03
Robert Gitelman - ID&T 6-12-03
High Contrast - Essential Mix Apr 03 (I know it is D&B but i like the whole set)
I have already burned all of my misc single EDM tracks onto a disc and all thw GWAR albums onto one disc. I am going to have to separate my 80's tunes into 2 discs (I have over a gig of 80's tunes alone)
I will probably pick up a good book or two before I leave as well. I will have a little time to read. Since my days are 10 hours long and I can only drink so much beer and be able to work the next morning.
As far as the luck with the ladies goes....we have yet to see if it is better than Scrat's luck with the old acorns.....been through quite a dry spell but things appear to be on the up and up. Won't know for certain for a while though.

the pvd @ energy set is like the nature one set, but i prefer nature one because it's longer and therefore has room for more diversity. live @ energy is pretty much all off of reflections, isn't it?
have some homeowrk to do and i just don't feel like it. i'm trying to decide what movie i can watch next to procrastinate. for some reason i'd really like to watch "the english patient" although i normally don't like tearjerkers. it's just all so beautiful and wrenching without being cheesey.
unfortunately, i'll have to find something else. if i could just find my book this wouldn't be an issue! |

I have no idea where the songs on that set came from much less are. I just like the mix and tend to not care what the specific songs are etc.
You could watch City of Angels....that is a sap movie I will loan you my copy (I got it for free with my player).
What book did you lose? I am currently re-reading my favorite book for the 8th time (i think that is the count now) Faerie Tale by Raymond E. Feist.

city of angels, that was beautiful too. and i mean visually when i say beautiful. sometimes the visceral experience is enough.
the book i lost was the one about the plague, year of wonders. i just looked at the book thread in political discussion -- never noticed that you asked me about watership down! i just learned random things about how rabbits feed and stuff like that.
think i'm going to search my apartment for this book! |

many people bash that movie for some reason, i thought it was wonderful. i mean, i like nicholas cage, he invokes emotion. |

I have read all of Feist's books (except the new one and the Janny Wurts collaborations) at least twice. Faerie Tale is by far his bes book in my opinion. Closely folowed by Prince of the Blood. Nakor is one of the funniest characters ever written.

Uhm, ok.
Hehe....I need to think about work tonight
Have to make sure I don't forget to pack anything in the roadbox tomorrow since I won't be around on Wed when it gets pt on the truck and heads to Branson. I so can't wait till 7 am on Friday the 17th when I can get on a plane and be on my way home from this nightmare.
I am ready for Christmas to be over.....and sad thing is I may need to go straight into workin on another Xmas carol...this time for a place out east.
It kinda takes the wind out of your sails for the holidays when you have been working on Christmas shows since the second week in August.

i could see that. i get furious when christmas stuff shows up before dec. 1, and even that is pushing it. of course, we all know it really turns up around halloween, which makes me want to vom.
i've been pondering some thompson since watching "fear and loathing" last night. once again inspired to write, once again intimated. honestly, what the is wrong with me? i don't know where i developed this huge fear of leaving a record of myself (i actually started posting in forums to help get over that fear), but it's brutal. |
