Tie Domi is a clown that cost us the Eastern Conference Semi finals by jumping Scott Neidermyer in game five. It HAD been the game of Domi's life @ that point, with great defensive play and a few points, along with high pressure forechecking.
Too bad he ed it up, and took all that leaf momentum going back to the ACC for what SHOULD have been the final nail in the Devils coffin. All with a last minute cheapshot that ruined yet another cup run for the buds.
He hardly fights anymore except when he feels like (during the leafs 5 on 3 he decided to try to start a scrap, almost ending the advantage).
They keep this aging $2milllion + a season dud, but refuse to shore up on defense. We already have one of the grittiest forward groups in the league, along with balanced scoring. Goaltending is solid as well.
They didn't grab Markov, who went to rival Philly (like Yuskehvich last year), and missed out on Darryl Sydor, who is with another east rival, Tampa. If picks and a medium lvl young player like Nik "the gimp" Antropov, is all it takes, do it already. |
