whenever they do bad, the blame automatically goes to quinn, and when they're playing well, he doesn't get as much credit as he deserves
quinn isn't the one out there scoring goals, he isn't the one out there making hits
i don't think he is the one responsible for allowing belfour to get peppered with 41 shots last night
you can blame it on bad coaching if you want, but let's see how far the leafs can go without quinn

let's not forget who helped bring gold to canada
discojoe
too much blame on the referees too little accountability on the players. apparently hes isnt very good a developing the youngsters either

then again.. he out coached martin and the sens three years in a row and won us the gold. cant be that bad...

i never meant that quinn was a bad coach. i just feel that, like you said, the players are out there scoring goals...

and at the beginning of the season, they werent trying, they werent listening to him, they lost interest in listening to him i think..

tahts just my opinion tho.

Sens are gonna choke in the playoffs, just like they always do.

nice;)

yeah, they've been a better playoff team than the leafs have the past few years, and so what if they choked, they still made it further

this little 'streak' the leafs had made so many leaf fans overly optimistic for future success...

cmon down back to earth boys & girls

Tonight: Buffalo @ Toronto (7:00 on CBC)

So the Leafs go into tonight having lost 2 of 3, and playing quite possibly the worst defensive hockey theyve experienced all season long. The little things that worked for them during "the streak" have suddenly vanished, and tonight is a must win if they want to carry any momentum into their tough stretch of games they have about a week from now. The next 3 games are games they should be able to take care of (Buffalo, Pittsburgh & Nashville). But the next 6 should be the deciding factor as to how the leafs will contend in the playoffs this season facing off against Ottawa, New Jersey and Calgary (all @ ACC) then on the road against Philly, back at ACC against Philly and then The Islanders. If they have any chance this year of taking the cup they'll have to take 4 of 6 in this stretch to prove they can matchup against the other contenders in the league.

Prediction for tonight:
Toronto 4
Buffalo 2

Toronto 3 Buffalo 3

Matt Stajan scored the tying goal with just over 3 minutes left to send the game to overtime where nothing was decided. Again, the Leafs get seriously outplayed in the 2nd, and wake up and dominate the 3rd period. The Leafs outshot the Sabres 37 - 16, and Belfour couldnt get the job done in net to give his team a chance to win. Its starting to get scary in Leafville......and if they cant get in done in Pittsburgh on Monday night.....i think i may just give up on them.
ITS PITTSBURGH DAMNIT!!!! Oh, and unknown status on Nolan who left the game after he recieved a high-stick in the 1st period on a no call.

Next up:
01.05.03. Toronto @ Pittsburgh, 7:30 (TSN)

Pffft, and the only year in the past 4 @ least they advanced farther than us.

Who was it that spanked your asses the 2 playoff years before we lost to Philly last year? That's right, the Leafs, forcing the entire hockey world to call the Sens the softest team out of all those with a competitive edge.

Looks like it's a fit for the sens again this year too
