| So i guess thats why i watch the Leafs even when theyre getting blown out.....THREE unanswered goals!!!!! Its now 4 - 3 Ottawa, but the Sens are banged up and all ed up with the flu. GO LEAFS!!! GO FLU BUG!!! |

Luck of the Irish (Nolan in OT) and two awesome defencemen (Kaberle 2A +4 and McCabe 4A +4 ! :eyes: ) to the rescue!! wOOp! :D
And trust Roberts the workhorse with this one late in the 3rd...

OMG!! They came back?!? I was at work and watched the last 10 minutes of Period 1, and thought the game went down the crapper for the Leafs

| This i think was the most ive ever freaked out for a Leafs game (excluding the playoffs). It was just madness, and once Parrott (sp.?) got in that fight with Neil it set the tone. Leafs Score a goal right after to make it 4 - 1. Three unanswered (and for the most part GREAT goals) later......and it was off to overtime where clearly the Buds had all of the momentum. With thirty seconds left Nolan absolutely SMOKED one past a helpless Lalime.....game over. A shot of the crowd is shown immediately after the game, and it was ALL Leafs fans in the stands!!! Pure gold. Thing i loved the most about watching this game was hearing the boos for Alfredson. Cant help but laugh at the krusty the clown wannabe. |

well i watched up til 4-0 then i turned it off and went to shoot pool
i goto the poolhall and they're showing the game
it's 4-1 now
then renberg and stajan adds to the scoreboard to make the game interesting
as soon as the third started, i knew the buds would tie it
kaberle made a great feed to captain clutch, and he knew what to do with it...tie game baby!!!
OT starts and my friend and i made bets on who would get the winner
i took nolan or smolinski, and he took mccabe or alfredsson
and what do you know?!
nolan comes through to complete the upset
another friend of mine lost $200 on the game
that's what you get for betting against the leafs!

Even though this might look like an easy next 4 games it might not be.
Tampa Bay; is extremely hot right now
Columbus; Toronto hasn't played them yet but they can be tricky (a la Rick Nash who just played in the All-Star Game)
Buffalo; always a tough game against these guys no matter where either are in the standing; a great rivalry.
Pittsburgh; ok maybe this is a gimmie game after winning the last 2 bouts, the last one being a 5-0 thumpin'... :clown: |

Good game the other night against Tampa. They should consider themselves lucky to have earned a point.
They started out a little bit sloppy getting outshot 10 - 5 in the first period, but got a nicely executed goal by Tie Domi of all people with Columbus tying things up later in the period. The second period Roberts scored a dandy as the Leafs went on a shooting rampage putting 19 on goaltender Denis. Looks to be a good final period.
2 - 1 for the good guys as of now. (TSN) |
