Cool only 64,000 more miles before it blows up. It's a nice looking car Amy but I have to tell you that Mitus are a POS as far as reliability goes. I could have predicted that you wouldn't take my advice....you never do.:o

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I actually agree with Brian.

Having had a couple of years experience in the used car business I must say that Mitsu's are FAR from reliable. VW Cabrio's aren't much better in those regards, however.

But looking on the bright side, it's definitely an attractive car (although I still prefer the older model's styling) and you managed to get a new car warranty for it which is awesome.

Anyway, congrats on the new ride. You're really going to get some serious use out of that convertible top down there in S. FL!

BUT DON'T FORGET YOUR SUNBLOCK!!!!
;)

It's a shame that you're ashamed to actually agree with me....as if you are superior to me or something. But it's ok man....just goes to show what type of person you are.:o

I actually know more about cars than most mechanics and car salesmen. But I guess that's what happens when you're 17 and have nothing better to do than turn civics into a 12 second 1/4 mile beast. I actually watched as my friends Eclipse blew up as he was racing me.....his push rod cracked and sent the piston through the engine block.:wtf: But even as daily drivers they suck. If you drive this car like your last Amy, it will fall apart in a few years. Take it easy!!!;)

A little presumptuous today, aren't we? I actually made that statement tongue-in-cheek, and I never said anything about you being inexperienced with cars.

I've seen a few engines blow, but the best was watching a red-hot brake rotor explode and go through the floor of an M3. (It missed the driver's left foot by three inches.)

I had the pleasure of driving a 400+++ hp (front wheel drive :nervous: ) Eclipse for about a week. I loved the rushing sound of the turbo followed by the whoosh of the blow off valve at every shift. I think they had it's turbo pushing 1.2 bar. I still remember how nervous I got every time it would break the front tires loose after dropping it into 3rd at 80mph on the highway.

What did you have in your Civic to get it to break into the 12's, about 500 hp?

Not quite 500 hp. You would be amazed at what 300 hp can do to a CRX. The set up was nothing that crazy. B16a3 motor, head built by skunk 2, Type R pistons, rods, and crank, Hondata stand alone ECU, intake, exhaust, intake, and 100 shot of nitrous. The car was pretty much gutted out and turned 12.3 in the 1/4 mile. I had plans to go turbo untill my car was stollen.:(
