school (& studying) and work... and in 3 weeks I start my medical school test preparation course.
on top of that, I want to be a surgeon, which isnt exactly the most attractive thing for a girl to hear. yea, they make millions, but im not gonna be finished for atleast another 10 years. (2 years med courses, 2 years med rotations, 5-6 years residency, 1-2 years specialty)
find me a girl thats gonna be that patient... =\

more power to ya...seriously all the best and stick with it. I've got nothing but tons of respect for nurses and doctors from working in a hospital and having family involved in healthcare for years... |

Trust me, Ive done alot of soul searching to find out what I want to do... and it has always evolved into something more and more dramatic, because of my interest in the particular field. |

When I initially thought about doing something in the medical field, I thought about physical therapy. Than I thought about going into being a nuclear medicine physician. More recently I decided to become a pediatrician (which is still on my mind). But within the past month or so, Ive thought about becoming an arthroscopic surgeon because of my interest in human anatomy - its just so interesting, and my obsession with puzzles has some sort of correlation with putting muscles, ligaments, and tendons back together. I think if I become an arthroscopic surgeon, after a few years I will go back to school and become a physical therapist as well so that not only can I perform the surgeries, but I will be able to administer the rehab for the patients as well. |
