If this momentum continues we will finally be seeing a change thats badly needed. |
i hope ur right .. i yearn for the days of Mulroney

| Considering that neither he nor most of his colleagues are now in office or running this wont be happening. Also, the mulroney days were a hell of a lot better than the chretien days. At least mulroney had guts and tried to change policies even if some were unpopular. It beats the do nothing, steal everything government weve had for the last 11 years. |

Is the Liberal Party going to return the kickback money it illegally received from the ad agencies in Quebec?

| sorry for my stupidity, but what did the liberal party/martin do that was so corrupt? |
|
|
| Jayx1 |
You arent stupid. We dont know the prime minister of sweden either hehehe
here is a recap of what the liberal party has done.
- stole $100 million dollars by giving it to liberal friendly ad agencies and then received kickbacks on false invoices. This is currently being investigated by the RCMP and if the liberals get re-elected it will probably go the way of the somalia inquiry. Basically, they will drop the investigation.
- "Lost" $1 Billion dollars by giving handouts to many liberal friendly businesses for job creation without ever having a papertrail to back up where this money went or how effective it was.
- Dropped the investigation into a conflict of interest allegations involving Jean Cretien who alledgedly used his influence in order to force a bank to grant a multi million dollar loan against it's better judgement.
- An MP was fired over phoney invoices for expenses
- Alfonso Gagliano was found to have awarded contracts to his friends in exchange for a $70,000 kickback. It is also alleged that he oversaw a friend's company produce almost 2 identical reports for the liberals at considerable expense. When caught the liberals made him Ambassador to Denmark. WOW what a punishment! He was later fired from that post because it was found that he was defrauding the government there as well (leopards never change their spots)
And this is just the stuff we know about |

thanks a lot for that sum up Jayx1 :D

| Sadly people will still vote for this party even though its rediculously corrupt. Other countries would have had mass demonstrations and forced early elections over less than this. But not here. |

true :(
and no resignations/measures at all (except one fired mp)? |
|
|

Nope because the liberals are controlling their own investigations and they know that they wont be punished at the polls. So why should they care?
Voting Liberal this month will do nothing more than condone the silent dictatorship that we are becoming. |

i would most likely vote conservative
- im sick of all the concerning paul martin, he 'promised' he would come to a resolution concerning the communication agency scandal before he would announce the elections, another broken promise
- the gun registry, something really really needs to be done about this, chretien said it would cost between 5 to 10 million, and its now approaching 2 billion?
etc... |
|

Jay, you forgot the $2 billion gun registry. It was supposed to cost either $10 or 100 MILLION.... not BILLION!!
:whip: :whip: :whip:
Meanwhile, people are dying from gun shot wounds in the ghettos of Toronto. |
