Today I went to get food outside twice. Once at KFC in the afternoon, later at my local pizza shop at around 8.
At the KFC, I saw this hotish girl in front of me. She was listening to her ipod, waiting for her order, aloof. I checked her out. She made eye contact. But I was too bored to play any games, so I dismissed her and made my order.
She left, and I received my order a few minutes later. I walk home quickly, and take the less popular, quieter route to my building. As I almost reach my front door, I gaze ahead of me and see - her!
She makes it to the door before me and holds it for me as I get my keys out. I'm almost there, but I don't want to run. She stares into my eyes, expecting me to say something, but I just slowly walk and offer her a meek "Thank you" and head towards my apartment.
A few hours later, I go to the pizza shop and order just one slice. There's this older lady with glasses waiting for her order when I come in. She leaves many minutes before me this time, and I wait for what seems like 10 minutes for one slice of pizza.
I finally get it and high-tail it out of there. Again, I take the less popular route. This slow walking couple is in front of me on the block nearest to my building. I ask them to move, then briskly walk to my building. I turn the corner, and who should I see, but - her!
Awkward.
