- Clinging: A common mistake is to cling to things we like, which probably wouldn't be that much of a problem if we were in a static world. Things change, people change - and changes, in this case, include "ceasing to exist" or "being ill". How many times haven't you seen people grief over a beloved person's death and act irrationally? Countless, probably. We often ignore the fact that the person we love the most might get sick (both mentally or physically), die, or need to go somewhere without our physical presence (such as travelling to a foreign country).
- Desire: When you "love" a person, that person doesn't "love" you back, but you sure want to show that person you're everything they're looking for, except for the fact they may not share this opinion with you. In this particular case, "love" is an illusion, as it's actually a form of clinging.
This mistake leads to the erroneous conclusion that girls like obnoxious bastards, when many girls will tell you quite the opposite. Girls love attention, but you just can't come with it all at once.
- Jealousy: This is a rather interesting word, which came from "to take care" in Latin (zelare). This is, however, "care" taken to extreme levels (once again, this can be linked to clinging). Obviously, if you're building up a relationship with someone you like, you expect something back, as it must go both-way in order to work out. Once again, communication (which is necessary in order to make people feel secure in the relationship) would easily solve this problem. Also, if you make a person secure in the relationship, that's a way to avoid any unnecessary worries from them, which is part of love.
I'm a bit short of time but these are good short examples of why "love" is not often "love". |

Simply closing your eyes won't prevent you from having sand in them during a sandstorm. Sand is small, the wind is strong... the fact that you had your eyes closed means you don't know where you are - instead of closing your eyes, you could've found a shelter before the sandstorm hit you.
Instead of creating illusions, we'd better adapt ourselves to reality in order to deal better with it. And, in order to do that, we must know where we are.
