Lots of other dance styles can be adapted to techno too, if the person doing it can move fast enough. |

Oh yeah, i'm not doubting that people can dance to techno, it's just that i haven't really seen a unique style that i would immediately associate with techno.
Not sure which step the shuffle is -- if it's the step i think it is, then it was originally a house step, which of course can be used for a variety of other genre's of music.
I admit though, my knowledge on techno is limited, so i'm pretty sure there are moves that look great to techno music which i just haven't seen anyone bust out in. |

No, the Melbourne Shuffle started out in Melbourne, Australia (oddly enough :p) and is definitely not a derivative of any house step.
It looks kind of difficult. Probably the reason you don't see much of it here is that not a lot of people here can do it. There were videos posted up a while back, I'm sure someone has a link somewhere...

I love to dance.....thats what i like the most about going to see DJ's getting so lost in the music. I love it when i get so into it, its like im in my own world...thats the best feeling. im a shy dancer though, once i feel like people are watching me i take it down a notch, but its cool!
I love to watch anyone dance thats got moves...but ya a guy that can move good is better then one thats just a bump on a log!!!! |

Ah that's just silly... when you see people watching that's supposed to be your cue to GO NUTS!! Those girls that take itty bitty steps aren't any better than the bar flies. I'd rather watch someone that's totally spastic and feeling the beat than one who looks too self-conscious to really get down with it.
Besides, doing the spastic for a while is really the only way to improve. I'm sure a lot of those wicked-ass dancers you see didn't start out that way, they probably looked ridiculous in the beginning (either that or they did all their dancing at home as "practice", which is just lame). |

No I wasn't saying that i looked bad when i was dancing, i was saying sometimes i dont like the attention. I had my years looking like an ass dancing believe me....I'm def. not scared to bust a move, i do and always do, its just don't like too much attention i suppose ;) its cool sometimes though...i know i watch someone when they're doing a great job, i guess i just dont run on attention thats all ! |

dancing is tied in with sexual confidence.
shows you are confident with yourself and your body swinging those hips and arms around like a robot. |
