I'm with you on this one fo sho... especially with the Prog 4/4 beat.. it's just not "interesting" enough some times. I started really dancing after listening to breaks @ system back in the day (for me that was like 2 years ago :p). |

I got the four four beat drilled into my head forever ... :( That's why 99.9% of the best dancers have to move onto Jungle or breakz. |

ya i see ur point here...
i'd have to say that i dont technically dance....
no steps involved with me,i just have the
coordination/rhythm to 'groove' or 'jam' to a solid beat.
real 'dancers' are way outta my league:
best i've seen were @ the detroit music fest -

I use to dance really good to the four four beat when it was fresh in my mind. Even though the kick stepps were and routations were so limited to the beat. But, after awhile ... i couldn't do it at all. When I noticed when I was officially done, was Tiesto @ the Guv 5yr. The best trance set in the planet and I could get myself dancing.
Don't get me wrong, I still love trance and some prog ... but for me to go all out is impossible. Old Skool trance, like what Rank 1 & M.I.K.E spun recently can still get me hyped to dance. |

I honestly cant listen to music and not dance! Even by myself at home its hard to sit at the computer and just listen when on msn or something lol, i'm always out of the chair dancing around as if i'm at a club haha stupid like that! I love the music!! and at the club, how can you not just be so into it. The musics just so amazing, and you just feel it so much! I have my eyes closed when i'm loving a certain part of a song sometimes and then I open them not even knowing when I closed them, it just happens! haha I LOVE IT!!!! Even if I looked stupid dancing I dont know or care!! lol!
Girls who can dance are friggin wicked. I honestly just love anyone who is dancing, however they dance, and dont give a crap about how anyone sees them or thinks of them. They just dance for the music because they love it and are feeling it! THATS THE BEST!!! :D |

Funny story that happened to me once ...
This guys adnd girl came upto me at some Destiny party @ Atlantis Nite clubb.
"OMG, I never seen anyone who can dance so good ... were so ashamed to dance, b.c we don't know how too"
" you then, it's not about how well you can dance ... I dance for myself and no one else. Even if you can't dance for , as long as your moving and trying to have fun ... that's all it matters"

i used to dance to that 4/4 before and for the past 2 years i found breaks more my liking, hell i cant produce a 4/4 no matter how hard i try...its so easy yet i cant...its all bout the breakbeat

i think that 4/4 is the most moveable music for dancing, and you can always see something amazing on breaks parties (back room @ system in good ole days man i've seen some people doing the undoable :) .
and dont make me start about breakers girl, eye candy AND good dancers at the same time.
just once i was at the jungle party and those people were SICK as well, but its not my cup o tea.
anyways we should settle this "who can get it down dirtier" dillema with battle royale, get us 4 dj's(breaks, j8ungle, trance and house) @systems, front room and lets get it on :D
just for fun (and to prove once for all that u cannot get downwiyh trance ;) )
just an idea hehe |

hehe good idea.. maybe the next time there's an all access event at Guv or something covering all genres of music .. or maybe even at the next Destiny/TR party , lots of good variety there too..
