I used to be the same - I would be in fear of ever mentioning my love for euro music for fear of being internet post-raped! :wtf:
Now I just accept that my mentioning of euro music often brings the lewd hater comments and just don't let that deter me.
My name is Jem and I really, honestly do truly enjoy listening to euro music. It's right up there beside trance and tribal house and electro! May it always have its days in the light! :)

It's not really another breed of person as much as it is another breed of people. This is the new generation - the more young people in a forum, the more commonplace this is. By general forum standards, TA is very very mild when it comes to flaming.
And it IS 'only the internet'. If it's much easier to insult someone online, it is much easier not to take offence and completely ignore it because it's just so much easier for someone to insult you (kinda circular logic here).
I, for one, almost never get offended online. Call me a wad, , asshat, retard, or any other combination online, and I totally won't care and/or remember it even. In person though, totally different story.
I'm not defending the people who do it, I'm just saying don't take it to heart or to mind, and life will be much easier. |

Total courtesy would have been to not mention something you knew would push my button. Acting ignorant to that fact, just because I posted it in another thread, is a low blow. Even those you consider your friends agreed it was a low blow. Those in the know considered it a low blow. Yeah, I threw a punch lower, but feel no regret.
To mention total courtesy is hipocritical.

I see you guys around at party's. Who's hiding? I've heard about alot of negative words directed towards me that were said by you long before this incident. Behind the back talk? Trying to change the opinion of me to the person I was courting? Now that's cowardly and a lack of 'total courtesy'. :rolleyes:
