Trancechaos,
The problem with the 'nice guys' is that they go around with that mentality - after a while the whole 'woe is me' thing gets dry and many women pick up on that and then don't want to go further with them.
On the other end, the 'bad boy' has a sense of adventure and most girls like that since it brings out their wild side (lol) - but if the guy is too much of a bad boy then usually things go to the ter pretty fast and the girl will whine to the nice guy(s) about what an he was.
It's all about balance. |

I concur. but not all girls go for the bad boys, and with the nice guys situation women most of the times do pick on that....
you gotta be a nice guy with an edgy side! :toothless |

It's not really about being an """ or a "bad boy" .... its simply about being fair....
and alotta guys who are simply "fair" get labelled as s because they wont go out of their way to open the door for a lady or something..... women wanna talk about equality yet they expect the guy to make the first move, hold the door, pay at the restaurant....etc.
I'm not saying I would never do those things, I'd love to do all that and more for a girl...... a girl who doesnt expect it. Thats what makes it worth it. Because then you know she apprecitates it. and in that (rare) case deserves to be treated like a princess. Simple as that. |

hee hee sillly DG. :whip:
Kel, why ruin your chi with negative people? you don't need him for anything therefore you don't need to talk to him. you have enough cool peeps to hang out with and talk. even if you never dated and he was just your friend he is not good material. who talks about like that? only to make the other person feel uncomfortable. |

adventurous and fun and a bit of a rebel does NOT mean .
there are plenty of spontaneous, fun, and a little bit bad guys out there that don't threat others like dirty and have a mean spirit. i can think of two at least that i know off the top of my head that are on TOTA. they get in trouble but it's not mean spirited.
s = mean spirited. |

man I remember the times I secretly went to parties behind his back....it was only once in a while but everytime I was out dancing it reminded me of how much I missed it! |
I dont know how anybody can have the nerve to tell their bf/gf how to live. If you have to do the things you like to do in secrecy to avoid upsetting the other then that person you are with has some serious insecurity problems. You think it would be as simple as telling them that the relationship isnt right. But for many it isnt.
Personally if i am with a girl who tries to run my life she's outta there. I don't try and tell her what to do and seriously, i moved outta my parent's house to get away from that sort of thing! |

one question for all the ladies.
why do you dig s and hurt the nice guys?
thats my two cents. |
Its a cultural thing dude. trust me. My theory is that since we live in such a competitive society, niceness is now considered to be weakness. Also people automatically assume that nice people are only nice because "they want something". We have steered away from being nice just for the sake of it. Try playing the classic canadian "i dont really give a about you but i sorta do" game with a girl in another culture. She will think you a) dont like her at all and b) that you are the biggest loser on the planet.
Latin America and Europe woke me up to the fact that us North Americans can be real pricks. |

if thats the case then its sad. if being nice is seen as a weakness then there is something very wrong with the society we live in. |
