i didnt intend to say that they have no team spirit at all ... mourinho definately has the players working harder than the tinkerman but cmon they would never have gotten so big without abramovichs cash so in this case the money takes precedence

you get on Chelsea about spending money but you're a Manchester United fan? interesting.

as razmataz said in an earlier post : Uniteds success bought it wealth while chelseas wealth bought its success

and united are a plc so their spending powers are limited .... we cant afford to purchase players for a price like we did for Rooney - the financial effects of which were shown in our declining profits this year and currently - madrid and even barcelona can afford to spend more than we can

but ur right WE'r RICH BEEYACH

the same could be said for the New York Yankees in baseball. Yet everyone and their mother gets on them about their payroll, even though during their championship years, they spend about the same or even less than other teams.

true but you need to agree on one thing man ... you need money in the business to survive and be among the top performers ... football is more of a business than a sport now and every year you have a shock performer in every league who next year again falls among the strugglers ... look at everton they had a great season two years ago, barely escaped relegation last year and are doing well again this year ... you got palermo in italy, espanyol in spain but these arnt rich clubs and will find it very hard to play the same way they did this year because most of their players will be bought over by the big clubs ... its sad saying this being a United fan who have tremendous wealth but ive been a united fan only cuz the first game i saw at club level was the 99' champions league final between United and Munich and seeing sheringham and solskjaer score those two in the final moments just made me an instant united fan.... i didnt even know we were a rich club at the time since i only used to watch world cup football b4 that ... I dont come from europe where people are bought up in the football culture(its a boring cricket culture down there) and have emotional attatchments to their teams ... football only became big in India recently and they only showed the big clubs play before i came to study in the US so calling me a glory hunter would be wrong ... i do have an emotional attatchment now to united and dont like to be classified in the stereotypical rich club winning club lover as most united fans are ...

I've never been one to complain about teams spending money to win. I'm a diehard Yankees fan, though it's not working out too well this season. In fact, I'd love to see a crazy Russian invest in Everton and attract all kinds of world class players and return Everton to glory. But I find it odd when fans of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal etc get on teams like Chelsea for spending money. They all do it now...it needs to be done if you want to win.

Thats coz u aint got no reason to bitch, as i stated before Cech should have gotten a red card and then a penalty afterwards that 9/10 is a goal.
