This is just a result of a growing city.. who neither was prepared or willing to aniticpate all of the problems associated with a city so large. It really sux..but we should've seen this coming 20 yrs ago...and put into place proper measures to discourage or prevent this from happening.

How about stiffer penalties for those involved in anything gun related??

I'm talking about serious hard time; not the banning of hand guns either which is totally ludicrous; now only the criminals and law enforcement have guns!
...of course our lovely gun registry can now tell us the history of the gun. That's just great, they can recite that information to the dead girl's partents, I'm sure they'll appreciate that.
This crime is exactly what we can expect from our current gun laws.
We're being laughed at people!
It's quite obvious the criminals/thugs have total disregard for the current ones, just look at the gun statistics for Toronto!

I have this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach because of this; I'm only a 1/2hr walk from there! :nervous:
My prayers go out to the girl's family and all those injured physically and mentally.
I hope I never have to go through this myself but I have to prepare for the fact that I probably will at some point unless something is done to change this state of chaos out there... :sadgreen:

I don't understand your comment at all.

My own mother is constantly on edge about me living in the city (she lives in a small Nova Scotian town where I grew up) - my 11 year old brother arrived yesterday and we were downtown when this happened. My mum probably had a coronary watching the news last nite.

More and more I dont see myself living in this city long term.

7 people died, and i said it was ed up, i live 5 mins from that area, how did i imply that its acceptable

by the rest of the world i wasn't thinking small town nova scotia

Very well said .... just because there are worse places in this world it does NOT make this alright at all.

As for JAYX1 comments, even if he's totally off why does anyone care, it's HIS OWN opinion and he has every right to express himself, and everytime he does express his points of view, he gets bashed, thought there was something called freedom of expression, but I guess you gotta read the little fine prints don't ya.

Yeah, it's our right to freedom of expression to call him an idiot.
