When he plays 3 different parts of a track at the same time he has one of his signature tunes playing is pretty interesting. This is my 2nd time missing PVD using Ableton live in Miami, but i am sure it was pretty interesting to hear wat he can do using Ableton live with trance music.

Some of you folks just like your plain ol trance, uncutt, unreworked, and thats fine.

Acutally some of us "folks" like live acts that dont suck. as for ableton or whatever else was going on behind the booth, use it to do whatever you want with the songs uncut them, cut them, blend them, mix them, shove them where the sun dont shine, but make them sound good. im sure most of the people including myself didnt pay to hear pvd practice for three hours, he can do that at home(or where ever the hell he is at) like the rest of us.

there is no doubt that paul will eventually blow us away when he refines his skill with ableton or whatever he is using but until then he can keep it to himself.

lol, dam im still pissed :)

not happening but if u dream it may come...lol...anyway i thought that pvd was quite good with ableton the other night, he had two powerbooks open rendering a whole set of nothing but digital media, which i love, fs running on one and the stunner ableton 5 on the other...throughout the set there were some great loops and re-edits of tracks, i remember while being upfront hearing the synths of crush layered well into the previous track only for him to drop it a few minutes later, at times he also had a few elements from tracks playing at once and even at times bringing in some breakish drumloops to top it all of...folks the man is embracing the new and out with the old, im all for it ...Paul has joined the masses that know to take this musik to the next level and not to stay in the monotonous era of the same old trance....its all changing for the better, i mean if he is supposed to be the best dj in the world he needs to do more up there, which he is trying out now :toocool:

Somehow i was there but i don't remember being there. Heck I don't even remember the pictures Rodrigo took...nuff said. PVD was great! :D :D :D :D

Yes he did play with the sounds pretty much, but further from using Ableton he lacked something out... I didnt even hear a Paul van Dyk chant when he left. Thats bad..

You aren't kidding. That's something I've never seen, is a lack of a chant.

The entire time he was playing that other garbage, me, Eric, Ivan, Doug, Jamie and everyone else were just giving each other :wtf: and  looks. We also said Timmeh A LOT more than once, 'cause that's just what it was: completely in' retarded.

Matthias
While I have heard better sets from Paul at Space..I still had a good time friday night. He still gets me jumpin up n down..guess that's the bottom line, but that's me.

Katie...great meeting you. :)
