I kinda had a feeling Acosta would play right after PVD. With the mood I was in, I HAD to get out of there 'cause I know seeing Acosta's pompous ass trying to spin would have aggravated me even more and I woulda prolly charged the DJ booth and crack his skull open. |

sorry to say but i dunno how Spirits is... but i'm sure that it not being 'Space' or w/e had to affect him.
He deserves to be #1 for sure but he needs to be rocking it out more like November!!
i'm kinda glad he sucked though cuz i'm 1 month away from being 21!!!!!!!!!!!

except for you and a few others, the word on the street is that the november set was nothing to write home about either...it always amazes me on how varied the points of view will be after a gig, its always interesting...
lets face the facts folks, when it comes to miami, paul aint had a set really worth mentioning since he used to spin at 142 NE 11th St, and that place is no more....not trying to hate, i just call it like i see it |

Very dissapointing night :mad: The only reason I had a good time was because I was hanging out with you TA's
I got there around 11:30 and from what I was hearing Edgar play i thought it was gonna be a great night. But then PVD came out and played some pretty wack stuff. I keep thinking it would get better, but it never did. I've heard of DJ's having off nights, but damn that was really bad. I was even starting to like Acosta's set better than PVD's. Now thats scary right there. Overall good night, but not so great music from Mr. PVD |

Agreed. That and Edgar's set were the good parts of the whole night. What you said about Acosta, that's pretty terrifying. :nervous:

Mel and Lis, what you guys mentioned about Spirits as far as the vibe, and people bumping into each other is the first thing that went through my head as I'm reading everyone's reviews. The club in the Casino here is the same exact way. It's the only place open during those hours, so EVERYONE goes there and is drunk or something. No vibe, no energy. I know that always has an effect on my good time. Kinda why I didnt come down for this one also.
Looks like a a decent tracklisting though I think. DA thanks so much for texting me, I hope you didnt mind me staying on the phone so long. haha. The music actually sounded clear over the phone!! It's impossible to hear music over the phone from Space. Paul will be great at WMC though. :) |
