well, what can i say. overall it was a horrible experience. i might not even have come guys. we had this huge problem at the door because they didn't want to let Pvd-ism in because he was wearing some sort of sweatpants. WE WENT BACK TO MIAMI TO GET SOME PANTSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! AND BACK!!!!!!!!! we came back in time to see PVD open though, but he threw down a lackluster set. He played some great ones that I really enjoyed though but the overall set :nervous:......:

DUDE I LOVE IT!! I CAN'T BELIEVE HE PLAYED IT.
Great seeing the usual TA's. DrDAve,RAchel,Arturo, Felipe, Lost in Forests, Maribel, Douglas, Relik, DA, Natalia. Great to finally meet elecmfreak(rodrigo). Oh and FallingMoon :) :nervous:
damn pvd played some wierd tunes that took out the vibe of the set at times. Track selection????????? |

i luf pvd 2 but in the 6 yrs i've gone to hear him play it's hit or miss at our local clubs. last nite was what i expected it to be - ok. i actaully liked edgar's opening set alot and was really glad to hear that he'd be closing for tiesto. he certainly deserves that! but pvd just doesn't bring it the way he does like when he is in europe. i went there with many wishful thoughts but realized quickly that i would be rock'n my the pvd i love on a cd on the way home from THR. i had alot of fun hanging with my friends, i missed my honey (who was home with a sprained ankle). it's always good to get a dose of the #1 dj in the world and the much loved edgar v. def considering going to tiesto! take care TA's.

2005 PVD has had a bad year. Even the most hardcore of paul fans admit this. Its easy to make this statement considering every year before that he has consistently good dating all the way back to pre 1993.
Granted armin and tijs had a year in 2005 as well. Ferry was average and thats saying a lot cause he has always been my favourite. We need to get rid of this "markus/ andy moor/ gabriel + dresden progressive sound trance" thats dominated last year.
The only plus side right now is the techier sounds. Hopefully they come in even more in 2006.
I'm being very negative here. But trust me if you lived through the 99-2002 years of trance music you can see why were hating most of this right now.
Just hope that you're at the rare gig when they do play great (PVD Roxy or tiesto HMH for 2005)

I do not admit to that. And I am a hardcore fan. I personally thought 2005 was a great year for him. That's what I think anyway. He had lots of great, enjoyable sets that made me have a great time.

Dark angel: Name the sets? Besides the roxy in november.
I saw him in june in van and he didnt give one damn about being there. He played 2 hours in which i would say about 10% of the tracks were actually good trance tunes. |
