I agree with your statement in general but it does come into play in my purchase making decision process... mostly because I do most of my shopping online so I start out by browsing the techno section and looking for specific producers I tend to like regardless of what label the release is on, followed by labels I like, and then if I still have the attention span I will peruse other assorted releases. Plus I tend to at least take a peek at the house section just to see what's out.
Having an open mind to music is always a good thing for sure though... I have found a lot of my gems because of random listening! |

| nice pic for sure... probably won't see too many images like that for her Come With Me tour, but I imagine there will be some nice pics for her Awakenings gig next month (her set will probably be more up my alley too!). |

well no, considering her tour is her as a solo artist and won't include a massive line up that will draw a crowd like that. |

I think part of it has to do with the type of venues she is playing during this tour (like here in Montreal, that club she played - Mile End instead of somewhere like Aria), from what I can tell. Some consider her to be among the top techno djs and she definitely has a sizeable fan base in various markets.... you won't get the kind of turnout that you would for a big festival naturally, but I imagine she could still fill a big room. |

I think she could still fill a big room on the come with me tour - but you're right, she seems to be leaning towards smaller venues for this tour.
I noticed on her schedule she's got a date in Whistler mid-month...how odd. |

I've been listening to some Cari Lekebusch sets this morning.. and I remember reading quite some time ago that, at least when he plays Holland, he always brings his own MC. I'm not normally much of a fan of MCs in a techno set but this guy is very tasteful and I think it adds a nice element (when done well).
Sure beats the Awakenings guy who announces over and over... "dis iz markooooo nastic.. yes yes.. put your hands in the air from the back to the front... dis iz marko nasticcccccc" hehe |
