What do you mean, you sample them?

Please go back and continue to read the rest of my sentence and if you still don't understand I'll be more than happy to clarify. Now consider these three examples:
SHORT VERSION
Sampling is a way of discovering new music.
LONG VERSION
A Music Lover
This type of person is not a dj. Let's say they love pop music so their only source for music is top 40 radio and local nightclubs. Whenever he/she needs his/her monthly dose of music they go to the music store and sample some music with the headphones provided by the music shop. They scan the cd barcode under the little digital audio player and start hearing cd after cd. Once they are done sampling music, this individual prepares to buy only the music that he/she desires.
DJ
In the dj world sampling is exactly what a music lover does except that they have different sources of obtaining their music. Often dj's seek their music through mix sets, digital download sites (beatport, audiojelly, etc), local record stores (in my case 'vinyl frontier' and 'the drop shop'), and promos received in the mail. This is also called sampling.
Producer
This has nothing to do with the first two examples. In this case sampling is the process of reusing existing productions to make new music. For example Missy Elliott - Lose Control sampling the classic 80's tune Cybotron - Clear.

seeing them both in the same night is not the same as seeing them doing a set together

Meganite Ibiza promo video

You've proably already downloaded it but for me it just streamed from the website. I had to chuckle...it's all Mauro...despite the fact that he's got two other residents (Carola and Barbara).

So basically, you just want to know what the track is so you can buy it?

That was a bit of an elaborate response if thats all you want to do!

Most of these are live sets with no track listings posted anywhere by the DJs. unless people create one individually just based on their own ear and familiarity with the music, your guess is as good as anyone else's as to what the tracks are.

ya I thought it seemed a bit strange he was the only one featured as well! I want to see the promo pics for Meganite.. I wonder if they are as strange as the Cocoon ones.

Not sure if any of you here have heard of an Ottawa based dj called Teknobrat... but he is one of the kindest and most knowledgeable people in the techno biz that I know! He has played many gigs throughout the years in Europe, North America and North Africa and is now concentrating more in the studio on his productions (with a new release out this week actually on Hemisphere!).

He's been going nuts with Final Scratch lately and has a wide range of new sets available on his site... this one in particular I REALLY like... 60 tracks in 120 minutes.. with great flow!
