ok, sunderland is near to newcastle & middlesboro, but the people are incredibly fickle. They have the notion their city is the best in the uk and that their football team have a given right to be one of the best in the country, which they're not. Seeing their chips on shoulders just makes you laugh sometimes & they get wound up so easily, just call them a geordie (people from newcastle) or Smoggy (boro people) but the whole thing works 3 ways, calling a Mackem (sunderland) a geordie is always good fun ;) |

heh i agree. I find Edinburgh a much nicer one :p It has Wembley & a few friends, but that's about it, the tube is crowded & noisy, the streets are dirty, it's hard to hear english in some places & there's so many rough boroughs, which people don't see or hear about but which make it an absolute armpit |

Was out in the lovely Elephant and Castle area resplendent with "Did you see this murder" signs... ace. :nervous:
Think if you knew it well enough and had 'your area' you could be ok. |

Exactly.
WTF is a tube? Show me one city which has clean streets 24/7? It's a city, cities have a lot of people, people are messy, mess creates garbage. People clean it but it wont be perfect all the time. Rough boroughs? LOL! |

haha. It's so easy. Nothing to do with you or Montreal, but by not saying either way, it gets you making comments that you wouldn't have otherwise. I just find people from certain places, of which montreal comes into the picture, to be easy to wind up. I don't give a if they speak french, or english or whatever the they do, I just find that the people who are there often look down their noses at other people & find it amusing.
And yeah, why don't you drop me in the middle of a 3rd world city like that, I choose montreal. Oh wait... sorry. Srsly I've been to places that aren't considered first world (Have you ever been to Nottingham?) and honestly things are how they are, I don't see how that would actually acheieve anything, especially coming from someone who lives on what I see as either rich parents, or knowing people to get what you can in 'vip' places & such. Ironic. |
