What sort of lens do you use? |
50/1.8
D200
I am currently sorting ( talk about being bored while on vacation abroad ) pics I have taken since I purchased the camera in august.
9000 pics. Bah too much, even if I think I have big time gaps in my shooting folders. |

wow...can we say....OPEN DIRECTORY!? seriously, even if a good majority of the pics you find useless or not interesting at all, i thoroughly enjoy just going through other peoples pics. it gives a good perspective on things.
btw do you have a facebook jay!?
oh and nice lens. |

what's worse is I never take the time to actually look at my pics ...
I dump the cards and never look at the stuff :haha:
yeah well 9k pics ain't that much in the digital era tbh :p
this evening my brother in law comes back from shooting a wedding with my sister and asks me to bet how many pics they took .... I said 1600
they shot 2900+ pics in 13 hours :stongue:
no facebook but people keep telling me sign up sign up ... sh*t myspace already keeps me too busy as it is ( and not necessarily in a good way ).
and the lens. Well it's the cheapest money can buy but also the sharpest and brightest. Oh sweet irony.
I have tried shooting with other lenses that cost 700-1500 $ and I couldn't handle the barreling vignetting etc ... and I find them too freaking heavy :wtf:
I have one of these right here with me and it's a monster. Too freaking heavy :eyespop:

It's like 90% females at school. Crazy psychotic fun :tongue2 |

Drooooool.
I use a Canon 20D and a Canon 400D, with a 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM, and a 100mm f/2.8 USM macro.
I really want a big fucker L lens, but can't afford it just now :( And, like you said, so damn heavy. Going for a holiday soon that will involve a lot of hiking (bird photography), so an L lens would suck to carry around.
But the pics...
:( |

it's a killer yeah
My bro in law and sister don't use it anymore because they switched to Canon a year ago. Perhaps they'll donate it to me... haha
they have two Canon 5Ds ... countless lenses, high end flashes and some minimal studio gear.
Ridiculous..... :nervous: :eyespop: |

holy ! thats a lot of pics in 13hrs! fawk!
gay...facebook is much easier to maintain and less bull.
haha yeah thats why i said nice lens. f1.8 is really nice. good low light shots to boot.
haha that is a monster, but as you said heavy as . and seriously, telephoto lenses are a waste unless your really looking for that long shot. most of the time people dont even have that long shot let alone have the need for that much zoom.

a friend of mine recently upgraded to the 30d. then one of his photography gigs, the guy asked if he had a fish eye lens. he didnt. and since fish eye lenses look horridly fisheyed on a non full frame he upgraded to a 5d. he already had ing badass shots. now they are just insane. youve prolly seen them. www.rukes.com |

sif online already Ben!
fb is ok but I've moved to flickr now. I love the tag system (different to fb tagging) and you can view images at a better resolution, not some messed up fb-ized distorted gheyness. Also, non-fb users can view the pics. |
