The title track "Heartstrings" kicks us off into an epic ride through progressive grooves. The track intros with a strong kick and a mixture of crispy hats, as the track progresses cool funky house chords begin to show with a super smooth bass bringing up the rear. On the break things take a twist as the sound transforms into a maelstrom of melodies which adds a very rich contrast to how the track began. Quite innovative stuff here and a must for any DJ box.
"What Could Have Been" is up next and be prepared for another epic journey. Smooth kick-hat intro, classic style. A funky bassline coupled with stunning synth work lead us up to the break where a rich pad takes over, filled with warm sweet melodies and a distant sounding saxophone. The talents from this artist continue to impress, this track is so complex yet it is something that you will relate to very quickly, superb stuff.
"Other People" rounds up this quality EP in style. A deep and soulful vibe is garnered from the groovy bassline and the multitude of instruments on offer. The arrangement here is expertly crafted as patterns are evolved, again we see very complex structures which are easily identifiable due to the wonderful craftsmanship. A must have on any playlist for sure. |

Kindred Spirits - Square 1 EP [Green Martian] @ Beatport

Jakhira - Princess EP [Bonzai Progressive] @ Beatport

"Lingala" provides cool progressive beats with a wonderful guitar overlay that adds a little melody to the sound. Nice, solid rhythms with the drum section and a subtle yet highly effective bassline tie the track up beautifully. As the track eases on we see some classy sounds come in with melodies becoming more prominent, on the break these sounds blend together superbly creating a fine slice of prog which is not to be missed. "UR Love" gets moving with some tight drum arrangements with classic deep house vibes running through. The bassline powers into the track and sets the scene for a fantastic house journey. Wonderful vocal samples lift the track up beautifully alongside superb synth work. Brilliant track with a retro feel and one that will please a lot of jocks. |

Ben benieuwd naar de promo feedback van dit EP, ben er erg trots op en krijg steeds betere reacties van mensen als Lemon8 en Marko! |

of the musical ideology that defined house music in Chicago 25 years ago, but have that progressive undertone.
