the only consolation is that the rangers are in the playoffs and i'm going to bal en blanc other than that i would be extra extra pissed. damn calgary lost but the damn avalanche lost to damn nashville and forsberg is to fault...not sure how to feel about that cause I LOVE LOVE LOVE forsberg for what he did for the avalache. eh!!! |

Congrats to the Islanders, who had 4 must-win games (and needed help from other teams), and won them all, including the last game in a shootout against the Devils.
Would've been crushing if they had lost, as they had the lead until 0.7 second left.
I believe that's the first time ever that a playoff spot has been decided by a shootout.
Funny, here in New York, there were some Leafs fan watching in the same bar as me, and they were elated when the Devils scored, and crushed when the Isles won.
