The season is drawn out too 82 games or whatever is a bit much could trim it to like 60 or so. Yet ANOTHER reason to get rid of like 6 teams. |

this is in regards to the NBA vs NHL timing issue...
season should be cut down to 70 games around there. Most casual fans dont start watching till the playoffs, NBA and NHL playoffs are played at the same time so yes that kinda kills hockeys interest, but , I really dont think it matters since both sports already have its core fans who'll stick to their sport regardless of the timing.
If the NHL wants viewers that would normally not watch much hockey,the Stanley Cup final do need to be played after the NBA Finals, because espn sports center can focus on them alone and hype it up more.
edit: or during the early rounds of the nba playoffs,which makes sense considering my 70 game season decrease |
