I like to tip big. I tip my pizza guys big because I get my food faster. I ordered a pizza online from papa john's and put on a 7 dollar tip on a 15 dollar pizza. They were at my place within 10 minuets. I do the same for the Thai place I order from, make sure to tip big and I get extra fortune cookies as well as faster delivery time. Ahh yeah.

Yeah cause in LA if you tip big, and they dont deliver on it, you can get real nasty

Of course we adapted and complied with the culture. I think it's closed minded and stupid not to when travelling abroad, even if you don't agree with it - It's apart of the experience after all. We tipped at bars, we tipped at restaurants, and we would probably have tipped the ing turnstyles if everyone was doing it. But when some gimp handed us a piece of a paper with a 'suggested amount' on it we both cringed HARD.

I am not ing cheap. I have however, killed for far less insubordination with regards to an implication like that.

Alot of credit card machines have a gratuity & percentage part automatically printed on them. So odds are it wasnt the bartender or servers fault that it was on your reciept.

that "gimp" probably did what the manager told him to do. don't always assume. and it's common knowledge among servers (at least down here in south florida) that foreigners don't tip, so i'm sure he heard your ed up accents and just wanted to remind you politely (would have been worse if he actually added the tip into the bill, or better yet, TOLD you about the gratuity) what the suggested tip is...you twat. :D

First of all, my 'ed up accent' of well spoken and articulate English sounded like a sweet ing symphony compared with his. And second of all, if any manager of mine that I've ever worked with had handed me a piece of paper and 'told me' to go beg, I would have shoved it up his arse. I expect to see tramps on the street asking me for change - Not when I'm trying to enjoy a drink in a supposedly respectable and comfortable environment. You cretin. :)

It's called being British. :)

If the person has given good service I'll give them a load of the spare change I have in my pocket. You'd be suprised how much running around the pengiuns do for a few quarters.

Why do I keep getting quoted in everyone's sigs? Are you guys not taking me seriously? I don't understand.
