I read that thread, but I've seen her pics and she looks good (unlike the girl in the story) so the guy might still be down to get his red wings anyway. |

| valet park instead. You have a much higher chance of getting a tip. I say you make between 7-20$ an hour depending on where you work. Find that italian spot and you will make good $$ |

Another advantage to parking cars is that you can take any drugs you find and no one will complain. |

I've waitressed in a couple of places. The last one I was forced to tip out 3% of my total sales every night. Sometimes that meant I would lose upwards of $20 of my tips. It kinda irritated me... I mean, I was being paid 6.75 an hour, whereas all of them were making 7.75+ an hour. Why should I pay them tips when they make more than me initially to make up for the fact that they don't get tips?
The whole waitress wage is bull. ESPECIALLY if you are tipping out. :whip: |

You're retarded, even after tip out, you still make about 14$ an hour easily. Dont make it seem like waiters dont make enough money as is, cause after workin in restaurants for several years, I know theres enough bull to go around. The other people in the place earn that tip out just as much as you really dont. |

Has anyone had the pleasure of pooling tips?
I did at one place. After I was there a few weeks I did a little statistical analysis. It seems that the tips we gathered via credit cards averaged 18%, the cash tips being put into the pool only averaged 10%.
How amazing that the people paying their checks with cash are so cheap, I thought to myself. I didn't bitch about it immediately though because I was n00b there. I waited 2 seconds.
Btw, I was the chef at a small trendy hotel on Ocean Drive for 1 1/2 years. More cred, you know.... |

Federal minimum wage is $5.15/hr. But it varies by state. |

Mm-hmm. It's either $7.60 or $7.65 here. |
