This isn't rocket science. Wait in the ER until you get checked out (TO SAVE YOUR LIFE) and THEN post on TA. Or is this simply you trying to be an attention whore??? |

| Triage system works by treating the people who have the most immediate medical concerns. It's pretty simple. It sucks, but it's the best way to deal with everyone that comes through the ER. It's not like they're being dicks on purpose. |

Teresa buddy, just go back to the hospital right now, in an ambulance or with a friend. Regardless if they immediately tend their focused attention to your needs, at least you will be IN a hospital. Who knows what could happen in the time it takes an ambulance to get to your place.

Don't even go to the ER, there's no need.
Go see a regular GP. Don't you have some 24 hour clinics nearby?
If it's bad enough the doctor can easily fax the hospital and escalate your case to a higher potential risk. |

Ok, let me explain again.
Wait time = 5-10 hours.
Clinic opens at 9AM.
Clinic gets faster results.
Waiting at hospital means no chance of sleep at all, and sitting in the horribly uncomfortable chairs for 5-10 hours.
Out of the options available, I think I picked the best one. In both scenarios I am being looked at around the same time, but the one is a lot more horrible than the other.
And no, I am not trying to be an attention whore. I am trying to talk to people for comfort, as I am sitting here alone and everyone I know is in bed. I had a bad night, and I need to talk to people. |

Yea, I know they aren't. That's why I said as much as I don't like it, I understand. What can they do?
I am not angry at the people, I am angry about the fact that this is still a problem, and isn't getting any better. |

I understand that it seems to make sense for me to be in the hospital, but I don't agree. Stressing my body more by staying awake for over 24 hours straight, is not going to help anything. I am going to be miserable, which again is bad for the body.
At least when you sleep, your body goes into "heal mode". It will be far more beneficial for me to sleep than to sit in a cold hospital all night.
Either way, no matter what I do, I wont see a doctor until 9AM at the earliest anyway. |
