Stay away from phones that you can't purchase in Canada, unless warranty or support are not important to you. |
nope. I could careless about warranty or support.
Usually the stores where you buy these 'non-canadian' places have support or something anyways to fix it.
If the phone dies or breaks, I plan on getting a new one.
The LG KE770 Shine is only about $200CDN so its not the end of the world. |

Well then don't call me when your phone breaks down. The stores know nothing about these phones and usually don't compensate you or reimburse you if a problem occurs. It also has to be unlocked to be used on our networks here in Canada. I get at least 10 calls a day from people that bought their phone overseas or on the net and want help or to repair it. We can only support phones we sell at retail through the big service providers, all others are SOL. |

Here at my and and other major companies, it's called grey-market. Stores that sell grey-market cause customers to have the wrong impression to our brand when something breaks down, and we can't service it in Canada. Most small stores who sell gray markey change names frequently or change ownership often when sh!t happens, leaving customers with no recourse. Grey marketers can say anything they like to customers, without any quality and product training by the manufacturer. Not enough people understand the risks of grey market... it's cheaper, but has its risks. |

| I've been looking at Toshiba LCDs, i've foudn a 32" 1080p one with what appears to be decent specs for $800 at future shop.. anything I should know about Toshiba units? I understand Toshiba to be a pretty solid manufacturer, however, I could be wrong. Any input would be appreciated. |

Toshiba is alright. The TV definitely isn't 1080p though. No companies sell any 1080p tvs at 32'. It is just too small to notice a big difference, 780p is enough. |
