| RIP little girl. very very sad situation. i do understand that it's tough for some older immigrants to adopt/conform to western ways, especially if they're from a conservative society. but if they moved their children here why do they not expect them to want a western lifestyle? i've seen within communities pressure exerted on parents by the elders or even friends to force their kids to conform to the old ways. so i can understand where her father was coming from but to take it to such extremes. wow, i can't even wrap my mind around that. |

in most muslim countries, its actually the brothers who take care of their sisters to protect the father from doing some (light) jail time. |

The media loves to prod the muslim fearing mass by exploiting the muslim aspect of this murder. Sure they are muslim, and this may have had something to do with a muslim tradition ignored. I am sure the father had several other issues, or he had one...he is a murderer.
Either way she died because her father is a murderer, who cannot control his anger. While he attempts to instill faith based virtues of his chosen faith he breaks the one shared by all faiths evenly.

Eh, its not just in the Muslim world..awful bs things happen EVERYWHERE in our world.
Extremists are everywhere and in every religion. A sad reality.
They give ALL people of faith a bad name coz it insinuates religion as being the cause of such evil and despair.
Religion, or God, is not and has NEVER been the coz of evil happenings in our world.
